Cocina Salgado

My fiance and I ate here. The atmosphere is colorful and cheery but outdated. I had the 3 shredded beef tacos in corn tortillas plate which was served with a healthy portion of rice and beans. My fiance had the chicken asado plate which is also served with a healthy portion of rice and beans. The food was great. We had to add salt and pepper to our food though because it didn't taste as if it had any, including the rice and beans which was fine. The "hot sauce" was okay. It was bland so we added salt and pepper and it was edible. It did have a bit of a kick but not enough so, I asked our waitress if they had a hotter sauce. She came back with a bowl full of Jalapeños that had been blended up. No spices or salt and pepper. That was a disappointment. By the time we left the place was packed! The reason I gave it 2 stars was due to the s lervice we received while dining in. I had to get up and ask for more tea because there is only 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. Upon paying, I thanked the cashier who was also our waitress and told her that it was the best Mexican food we had since we've been in Texas and she flat out ignored me. It upset me and that's why they get 2 stars. You can have the best food in the industry but of you provide horrible service then, you will lose business.

I have never experienced such rude customer service! Went to eat with a couple of friends and we all felt uncomfortable and like we were being kicked out! They only had one other table they weren’t even busy. Was recommended this place as best food in town honestly it’s not, don’t even waste your time and money at this place.
