Reviews of Bar A Dessert

We stopped to check out the "Bar A Dessert" after dinner in Patchogue. They were open "pre-Softopen" but open and seemed to have their ducks in a row. If they didn't say that I wouldn't have known. We ordered a "Rolled" ice cream and a "Tiramisu Sphere" The rolled ice cream was interesting. It's a similar idea to coldstone but these guys lay it flat and let it freeze... Then they scrape the sheet of ice cream off and roll the ice cream. It was loud and showy... It's was great for date night but I could see it taking to long during the summer. The Tiramisu was sent out as course 2 and was great. It really was on point! They will be swamped during the summer. The food takes time and I hope they figure out how to speed up the process without sacrificing quality. I look forward to trying another delicious treat... I just hope I'm not in the back of a long line by next time...

Normally I'm not crazy about this roller ice cream thing, but this place done a fantastic job with creating beautiful crafted dessert aside from the roll ice cream. They also serve solid espresso which is a nice compliment to the dessert. Place also has a nice vibe to it, a good place to chill after dinner or beer nearby.

Wow!! A hidden gem of a dessert place featuring the ever popular Thai Rolled ice cream delight which is popular in Flushing Queens and Manhattan. Finally here in Suffolk County. This is a Cafe where you order at the counter, then they bring it to your table. Great coffee drinks, hot tea, and bubble tea. A wide variety of Asian desserts. Hand painted art on the wall. The owner, Jungle, is very friendly to his customers. Easy to see right off of Ocean Ave close to Main Street in Hauppauge New York. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Parking on the street is available but it fills up fast especially on the weekends and at night. Municipal Parking lot nearby. We will definitely be going back.

The desserts are dream-like decadence. I'm a wannabe foodie and my husband prefers his mother's apple crisp but when the plates came out our jaws dropped in awe of the artwork that was presented in front of us. Usually when food is that pretty it probably doesn't taste very good, right? Well, these desserts defy the odds. We got the oreo rolled ice cream and the creme brulee. We will definitely return to try other menu items. The sesame ice cream has me curious!
