Fancy sushi. Nice selection of craft beer on tap. Bigger in the inside than the outside. So plenty of room. It's all good. About half of the choices are "southern fried sushi" fired shrimp or crawfish instead of raw fish if you are squeamish but they also have other stuff like po boys, fish tacos or chick or pork tacos and a roast beef sandwich if you don't want seafood. Friendly staff.
Absolutely incredible sushi with outstanding friendly service! I recommend this place to all my friends and just know that once you dine here you won't go anywhere else for such fresh and great tasting food and cocktails.
I absolutely LOVE this place! Local joint where the food is always excellent. Eclectic menu w/ local & fun flavors.. Super fresh ingredients. Only downside is the service can be slow. If you're not in a hurry & have time to enjoy the local music & awesome atmosphere it's a must try. If you're limited on time or are feeling impatient....you're rolling the dice.
Redneck Sushi. Fantastic southern twist on sushi. Great Balls of Fire and the Big Bayou are my favorite. My wife likes the Jack-A-Mo and the Fish Tacos. Live Music most weekends make it a good place for a meal, a drink and a good time.
Went there for lunch today... Everything we had at our table was amazing. Get the springy things, green day roll, and the salmon fish tacos. Will be a regular here!
Black Pearl roll was fantastic. Bob Marley roll was great with a manageable amount of heat. Great, friendly service. Best sushi I've had in a long time. Would recommend to anyone.

Yum Yum. I have eaten at Jack's several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is always great. I have never tried a sushi roll there that I didn't like, and like others have suggested, the fish tacos are a must. There is always some excellent live music as well.

The Cool Factor. Coming back home for a visit to Mississippi is always fun. You see family and friends. Drive by all the familiar places to reaquaint yourself of what you have been missing since the last time you were there. All I can say about Jack's is this.....it has the cool factor. You want to be seen there. The food is outstanding! The Sushi and Fish Tacos are excellent, top quality, 5 stars!!!! Let's talk music. The Garrison's (owners) know their music and they know musicians. They have top talent playing weekly at Jack's! If you have not been to Jack's, I recommend this as your new favorite restaurant and new favorite hangout!
Great Sushi and Fish Tacos. Don't let the name of this place fool you. Jack's by the Tracks has some of the best sushi I have ever tasted. Especially for South Mississippi. The quality of the fish that they use is superb and the southern cajan flair is remarkable. Most importantly, their service is great and the food is always consistant. I have not ventured off of the sushi menu to try some of the new sandwiches that Jack's serves, but I hear great things from friends that have. Especially the Frenchalleta(spelling). If you have not been to Jack's by the Track's and you live anywhere on the coast, you are really missing a treat. Most nights there is some sort of live music from blues guitar players, acoustic duos, piano players to all out "good old rock and roll" bands. Jack's by the Tracks should be on everyones "must check out" list if you haven't done so already
Great place with great people. The food here is really tasty and a bit different from your typical dive bar cuisine. They really have a lot going for them as far as the servers and the kitchen staff. Solid bunch of folks and they are consistent with service and food.
Ok, it’s a little pricey but, I took my 3 kids to eat dinner. The waitress was unbelievably nice, like to the point my kids thought I knew her. Food was really good too. Can’t remember what all we had but my kids had a great time. I wish I remembered our servers name so I could give a shot out to her.

It's definitely a twist on sushi, not bad but hard to explain. We got the shrimp n grits, the jackimo roll, and a fish taco. Everything was good. The service was AMAZING! That's the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 3. There was A LOT of shrimp in the shrimp n grits so that's super filling. The fish taco was ... Okay, not bad. The jackimo roll was good, but ... I think it was a lot of cream or something. I'm not sure what threw me off about the roll, but something did. The inside of the restaurant was adorable, and I'd love to go for happy hour or when there's live music.
Jack's by the Tracks is a local juke joint kinda place. It reminds me of an old southern 'shotgun style' home and is quite cozy with local pictures and art from the Gulf Coast region. They serve a variety of sushi, sandwiches, and other signature dishes that are unique to the coast and the establishment. They have a very well stocked bar, draft beer taps (even GUINNESS which is one of my favorites), free live bands (Fat Boy Squeeze this particular evening), and a sushi bar. My experience has been excellent everytime I have had a solid or liquid dinner here. Lots of locals frequent this establishment and they are typically fairly busy in the evenings so be certain to join in the fun early.
Delicious Everytime!!! The staff was very welcoming and it was not to busy either. They have a great beer selection on tap and your classic spirit selections. They have live music on the weekends and is a cozy place. Definitely worth a visit and will be back again.
