Review Cheshire Crab Resturant - Pasadena

Terrible experience! We ordered two cream of crab soups one order of potato skins and one crab cake and fries two glasses of wine and a sweet tea for lunch. The bill was $90 with tip and the food was terrible. The cream of crab soup was coagulated and the crab cake was bland. I loved this place years ago. But the food has went down hill.. I am not one to leave bad reviews. But was so disgusted with the experience I felt the need to leave this review. Avoid this restaurant !!!!

I hadn't eaten here in a while because the food had gone downhill. But under new management/chef, things have really turned around. Our food was very good. The Maryland crab soup was fresh, tasty, and loaded with meat. The fried pickles were really good and I am a fried pickle snob. The crab stuffed avocado was fantastic! The steamed crabs were perfect!!!! We didn't have a lot of regular menu items because we were eating crabs, but everything that we had was great! Even their draft beer menu is very good! Give this place another chance! We will be going back next week!

Terrible experience. We were seated by the hostess and had to ask two separate times if there was a waiter assigned to our table. Still nobody came to take our drink or food order after 20 minutes of waiting. The best part was watching 5 waitresses standing by the bar dancing to the DJ while we sat there. Classy. We finally left and will not be returning.

Great restaurant/ bar that I always make it a point to stop in for a refreshing cocktail. So far, the crabs I have gotten there were Awesome! Bartenders make you feel welcome. Worth stopping by for a bite to eat and Please, try their hot steamed Maryland Crabs.

We went there on Tuesday Aug 28. 2018 the crabs were good and they had the half price special. Everything was good. But when you check out at the bottom of your receipt they give you a suggestion for your tip do not follow their suggestions. That is way off . They suggest way to much for a tip. Their 15 ,20 and 20% is way to High for the amount on your bill. So just check your bill and tip according to your bill.

AYCE crabs w/super fresh salad bar. $29 pp. Beautiful, waterfront setting. Sierra was our waitress. We were there for a few hours eating crabs & she never missed a beat. Crabs were delicious . . . perfectly cooked & perfectly seasoned. The band & beautiful sunshine was an extra-added bonus. Can't wait to go back.

The staff showed genuine friendliness and great attentive service. Host was a bit unorganized but I think she was new. Food was excellent. We had crab dip, hot wings, and their signature spinach chicken salad. Salad was unique and the other two we're very tasty and we'll prepared. We got there at 9pm on a nice summer Saturday evening and they were probably only 10 to 25% of their max capacity which must be near 200. This is a surprisingly big spread out restaurant with a lot of different teams but definitely has a laid-back Marina atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Disaster, arrived 2:45pm on Sunday by boat, dock hands friendly and efficient. Wanted crabs, headed to hostess and she seated us inside away from the too loud band. In route to the table waitress heard us say we want crabs and interjected they don't have any but after some coaxing we stayed to make due because we're hungry. That was the sum of our experience because we then sat patiently for 35 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. The waitress was busy with a huge party so we understood but 35 minutes and not even an ask for a glass of water? So after we watched her serve the huge party and ask them 3 times what else they need we thought okay it's out turn, yay! Nope we asked what's up and she said you are not my table. Reminder this is the same waitress that coaxed us to stay. My group stormed out. I did go to the manager who apologized and offered to buy us a drink. Sorry too late, there was a lot of finger pointing after that but everyone missed the point. Hostess didn't do her job, waitress couldn't really be that oblivious and manager is not walking the floor if she didn't notice our party sitting that long without even a beer. I feel stupid for not getting names because I would like to give them another shot but just not sure now.
