Au79 has a large tea selection in a cute little cafe. If you want some unusual flavors, or add ins like boba, this is a good spot. However, my order got made incorrectly, and I thought it was very expensive. If you're looking for a simple cup of tea this probably isn't for you.

Au79 is always a favorite of mine. This day was great. The thai tea is amazing and it was nice and mellow there after a long day. Service was quick, drink was perfect

My last visit was years ago and I had forgotten how great the boba tea's tasted. we ordered the milk and taro milk tea. Both were great and the bobas were fresh. The order and preparation were also quick and efficient. We would definitely return and recommend. Special thanks to the gal that helped with the order. She extended the student discount to my daughter.

We go here specifically for tea with boba. It tastes great every time! If you aren't happy with your drink, they are happy to fix it or make a new one. There is a place nearby that also serves great drinks, but we come here for the great service.

4 Star Overall. Good tea quality with meal options at a good price. Clean restaurant, fast service, and convenient to-go meals. 4 Star. $9.99 Meal Combo (comes with a black or green tea drink, meat selection, small portion of vegetables, 2 fried dumplings, 1 marinated boiled egg that is slightly bland, a spoonful of minced meat on the salty side, and 1.5 to 2 bowls of rice in a to-go container). Up charge for modifying complimentary drinks to other black or green tea drinks. But cannot substitute to any other non-tea drinks, which sucks cuz I rather have non-caffeinated drinks instead. - Mapo Tofu Meal with complimentary black tea, plus $1.50 up charge to add boba and milk. Strong flavor, spicy, decent authentic taste. - Popcorn Chicken Mean with complimentary black tea, plus $0.50 up charge to add boba. Overall, meal combo comes with an over abundance of white rice, which I prefer to be proportioned out to receive more meat, vegetables and sides. At the end of the meal (2 orders shared between 1 adults and 2 kids), all that’s left unconsumed is about 2-3 bowls of rice that took up most of the space in the container. Kinda a waste. Next time, I’d order just 1 meal with the rest as side/snack items since the bulk of the meal contains rice.

I was looking forward to trying this place and very disappointed. By far worse boba in the area. My boba beads were hot in bottom of cup and had very little ice. After a few sips the ice was gone and left with a warm drink. Yuck. Ordered less sweet and was a sugary as a soda! Disappointed by ingredients ised as well. Not quality for the price. Service ok.

We love that there is parking and no matter when we have gone there is room for us in the lot. We like that they will make unsweetened drinks that are just that, no added sugar. There is a good selection of caffeine free drinks as well from nature's Xanax like Chrysanthimum to other more floral varieties like lavender and rose. It allows for variety. Their punch card system is a bit weird. You have to buy a gift card to get on their system but $20 is fairly easy. I should have done it sooner. There are powders, but it is still less wizardry then other places. They do offer almond milk which is great....

I hate to say it, but Pasadena doesn't have great boba spots, well except for Au79, which is like a shining star and conveniently next to Pasadena City College. The boba is consistently soft, warm, and lightly sweet as it should be. The small is 24 oz, and there's a wide variety of flavors. Great spot that I visit almost every week!
