Our go-to place for California Chinese food. The food is good, and very consistent. Order the Slippery Shrimp, the Three Flavor Sizzling rice soup, the Sautéed Sting Beans, and the Pan fried noodles, you can't go wrong. The staff is amazing, especially Chuck. Always ask for Chuck!

Authentic Chinese food. I also ordered food last minute for NYE and they were able to complete the order in time for my party. The staff is very friendly. And there are a lot of celebrity photos there so that also helps show how delicious this place is. Looking forward to going back.

Busy yet cleared and wiped down a table in the rush of dinner to seat us as quickly as possible. Food here is always tasty and plentiful. We always order for four people even though we are only a 2 person family so we can have even more left over. I have never had a bad meal here in the 20 years I have ordered.

Two words: SLIPPERY SHRIMP. Just trust me on this one. I have eaten here a few times now, and I've never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and my two-year-old toddlers had high chairs ready for them as well. Definitely recommended for families!

This is a nice Chinese restaurant in East Pasadena. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. I got the beef chow mein entree for takeout and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back to try more dishes. Free parking in lot.

Ordered sweet and sour pork and fried rice. I have never been this sick in my life. I ate a few pieces of pork then realized it was hardly even cooked. The rice was very bland. Throwing up all day! Severe food poisoning.

Don't get their wontons. It had no stuffing and was all skin. The skin was hard to chew, but vegetables were good. Most disappointing wontons ever.

Yang Chow might be the best chinese food I have ever had in southern california. The Slippery Shrimp is not to be missed.

The Best!. Yang Chow is a GREAT chines restaurant among a plethora of mediocre ones. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are huge. One portion is enough to split. The Slippery Shrimp are fabulous along with the cashew chicken. Never had cashew chicken like this before. Tons of chicken and very little veg, (you can always oder a veg entree) So flavorful! Waiters are very accommodating.

Great shrimp!. The atmosphere is pleasant although some of the servers speak very little English. The slippery shrimp is always an excellent choice! The hot and sour soup is the best ever. I you don't like noise and screaming kids, DO NOT go there on Friday nights. Evidently that is "obnoxious kid" day!
