It's been about seven years since I have eaten here. Thought I would give it a try since it's only a few miles from home. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the bourbon, glazed salmon, green beans, and a salad. Wife had grilled chicken, rice, green beans, and a salad, we both enjoyed our meal and we probably incorporate this place into our repertoire!
My first time at Cheddars. Food was amazing. Our servers Jonathan was so pleasant. Next time I'm in Houston, I'm going back! I had a drink called the Painkiller. Incredible. The croissant with honey butter was good!
The chicken tenders were delicious. They had crunchy texture and soft chew. Their fries were very delicious with their salty and soft texture. The ranch made it perfect to go with the chicken tenders and fries. I would highly recommend the carrots because they’re very sweet and savory. Sadly, I would not recommend the side of seasonal green beans. It is flavorless and squishy and I cannot believe they called it seasonal.
Overall, it is a good place to catch a meal. Often for dinner, it is very crowded. Staff is often rotated very frequently, so service levels shift. Food is fairly constant. Alcoholic drinks are popular and good as well as well priced, and it is the draw here. Along with the complimentary crossiants! The only reason I don't score 5 stars is for the fluctuations in service and rare issues with food. If it does happen, and you advise them, they will work to correct it.
First timers- our server, Adrian, was polite and well informed with the menu items. We were starving n the wait time was tolerable, meaning it wasn't much of a wait at all... we ordered the trio appetizer (sorry, no photos cuz we gobbled it up lol) the mister ordered the Monte Cristo and I had the Bacon Cheeseburger ... we got pretty full of the appetizer.... it was yummy but not a DAAAYUMM THIS IS GONNA BE MY NEW FAVE kinda place, the vibe is nice and laid back. Overall was a pleasant experience.
Extremely flaky and addicting honey butter croissants!
Caesar salad with penne and salmon was delicious!
The T-bone steak was cooked very well too!

Cheddars has a decent menu but let's face it - you come for the greatly priced drinks. I do like the food options and the Croissants. The hit or miss spot us the service. These folks are always rotating so rarely do you see staff stay beyond a few weeks. Just when you think you gave a good waitstaff, they are soon gone. But have a drink and you will soon forget them and move on.
My first time there was a very horrible experience. No service at all & everyone around us that got there after us was attended & served their meals. But times after it was ok. My favorite is the grilled lemon pepper white fish, on many occasions my order was wrong (the fish wouldn't be lemon pepper) i would be starving but they'd fix it everytime & anyways I'd keep coming back lol. We love the Wisconsin bites as appetizers also. Couldn't go wrong with a frozen margarita either & the free honey buttered crossisants. I love the house salad as a side, i wish it had cucumbers thou (fat girl problems). I normally have issues with my order being served incorrectly but it's always real good.
I would say Cheddars has kept their standards since they were open. And furthermore, they are the best in the chain restaurant category.
Food was delicious, ordered the tilapia and shrimp.
Cookie dessert was amazing.
Service was good.
The food was good here. The young lady was very kind and helpful. They did get my order wrong but the waitress noticed it as soon as she set the plate down and took it back to have it corrected. My husband's beans were cold, but everything else was great.
