Absolutely love this place. I was here Saturday for lunch with my friends and we all had an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is homey and inviting. Our sever John was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the hummus and pita for an appetizer and it came with the freshest vegetables. I ordered the pork Taco with fries and it delivered on flavor. The pork was tender and the fries tasted homemade not frozen. I had to order desert since they offered key lime pie. The first bite made my jaw clench but it was so addicting. The best key lime pie I ever ate. I would come definitely recommend this place. I can't wait to come back.
Love the place. Always a fun bar with great bartenders and the food is always on point
Never had a bad experience here. Food is always well prepared, beer selection is impressive, atmosphere is comfortable, staff is friendly, and I've even gotten an immediate table as a walk in on a holiday. I would recommend this spot to anyone.
Solid. Solid. Solid. Gre.... Solid. Solid. Solid.
Great food, drinks and service. Not much more you can ask for.
It was better when it first opened. Try the burger and fried green tomatoes.
Need to go back. This place seems to draw a crowd most nights because there isn't a restaurant like it for miles. Full (raw and wet) bar, plenty of seating and a sizeable menu. Eventhough they seated us in the back room next to the kitchen, we'll go back to sit at the bar and try the oysters. Not too pricey, and the portions are generous.
Went for 1st time last night. Big place, was very crowded for 7 on a Sat. Waited at outside bar (they have heaters) for 30 min. Service was decent, certainly not quick. Took about 15-20 to get our apps. Cheap oysters-very good. We had the largest cheese plate ever! Friend had steak n mashed potatoes -said it was very good. I had powerhouse with portobello. I was 65% stuffed at that point. Ate avocado, tomato, sprouts n mushroom. It didn't need to be marinated so it was had lots of vinegar taste. All in all 4 out 5, decent prices and food. Would recommend!
Visited for the first time for a weekday lunch for 2. We ordered some shareable apps and the Irish nachos and the salmon BLT. We sat on the back deck, nice environment, food was fantastic, and our server, Todd, was attentive though very busy. Definitely will return soon!
I had made day prior reservations by phone, because we would have a small child in our party, I asked for outdoor seating and was told no problem. When we arrived the next day, surprised to find out outdoor seating is no guarantee, seems prior person gave unreliable information. But the hostess was excellent and made outdoor seating available. Our party had great seating on the deck with view of the small water scene on the side, so grateful for the accommodation. Food was great and our server, Dennis was top notch. Despite a very crowed and busy section, Dennis was kind, professional and supplied whatever we needed in a timely fashion. Dennis thank you, you were amazing.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Made reservations for four on a Saturday evening. Arrived and were seated on the back deck. Asked the hostess if we could be seated inside due to chill coming from under drapes. Hostess found us a nice table at the back bar, still quite chilly. Food and service were great! One man band, lovely. Waitress brought unlimited tea to warm the ladies in a party up. It was a very nice experience, just a bit chilly!
I've been to McFaul's so many times I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it yet. But every time has been fantastic. The food is always great and the staff super friendly. We got lots of takeout during the pandemic, which was amazing. They have a nice outdoor seating area that gives a great view of Loch Raven Reservoir and is pretty spacious. They have heaters and tent-like windows for when the weather is bad.
If you've never been, you need to go post haste. You will love it.

We love this restaurant! Great menu! As a vegetarian, I especially love the salad selection. Fireplace in the dining room makes for nice ambiance and adds to their rustic vibe. The outdoor patio is roomy (though sometimes loud) and great fun for drinks with friends. Highly recommend!
The only reason I did not give it a five is for a few reasons. It's very small inside and on a cliff on a very narrow road which is Cromwell Bridge Road. It's very hard to find parking and if you get lucky and get a spot in front of the restaurant, you won't have to walk up a ton of stairs but if you don't like we didn't and most other people, you have to walk up a plethora of stairs. The food was decent. My girlfriend and I got seafood. Raw oysters and mussels for me. I liked it better when it used to be Sandy's corner. They could definitely use more space in the bar area and It's Tricky walking through the restaurant to the bathroom and other places since everything is on a slope. The staff was very friendly and the food was okay. It's a good place to check out if you're looking to take a weekend Drive and grab a bite to eat before hitting 695.
I don't know why we don't visit McFaul's more often. Just a few minutes away through Loch Raven Reservoir. Food, atmosphere staff are always fantastic!
Great mimosas!
Didn't like the salmon eggs Benedict enough to finish.
