Visited Harp & Fiddle celebrating with a Real Estate client and friend who just closed on his new home in Park Ridge. Chatted with Declan, the owner and had some great laughs. Tasted the best plate of veggies, hummus and parmesan toasted pita in the world. It must have been the jalapeño cilantro hummus dip! The chicken wings with three dipping sauces were outstanding! Excellent selection of craft beers and great service. #homesweethome #irish #pub #harpandfiddle #parkridge #wings #hummus #jalapeno #hungry
Great food, excellent service,
always fun! Eileen M is a fantastic server. Bread pudding is a must. Great burgers, Vegan choices something for everyone. Not only a neighborhood staple but the best stop in town.
Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Absolutely delicious food and unique items such as Breaded Buffalo Cauliflower, and Reuben Wontons, pictured here. Always busy when we come, whether lunch or dinner on either weekday or weekend. Nice spacious spot indoors and outdoor patio as well. Will be back for sure.
Harp & Fiddle has become a staple for me. They are fairly consistent and offer a good variety of food and drink. They're menu is relevant without being the cliche "Irish Pub."
Burgers are my go to; and in my opinion are the benchmark for rating any bar. I've never gotten a burger any less than medium well despite ordering mid rare but despite that small gripe they are well made and tasty. Salads and Irish Entrees are also delicious. Brunch is another favorite of mine especially bottomless mimosas.
Drink selection is pretty good and variety is broad. They rotate often enough to keep you interested and coming back. The atmosphere is my favorite. Thursday nights they have live Irish Folk music which sounds corny but it's executed very well and adds a nice touch when you're in the mood for it.
Overall the atmosphere and drinks are exactly what I'm looking for. The menu has enough variety that I can order something different each time and not get bored. The food is good and execution is fairly consistent. Food always tastes the same but whether it comes out hot or lukewarm is a coin toss. In my opinion not worth knocking off more than a star for and not enough to keep me away.
H&F is easily the best bar/restaurant in this up and coming area of Park Ridge.
Varied menu with options to meet any ones desires esp for an Irish Tavern. Parking a tad difficult but friendly waitstaff made parking search very worthwhile. Food was very good. Prices seemed reasonable in today's environment. A very pleasant experience for our party of three. More spacious than originally thought plus the street seating provides customers with many options for in door or out.
Yesterday was my 2nd time there and have no complaints. We were seated outside per out request. Nothing spectacular but also nothing to complain about. Drinks were ok (nonalcoholic cocktail and beers) as well as food ( fries, crab cake and flatbread). A waitress was nice, in my opinion checking us too many times, but ok. Anyway- good place for regular meeting with friends.
I love this place. Great homemade food. Great drinks. However, staff is beyond unaatentive. In fact, been sitting here for 10 minutes, they aren't busy, and the wait staff could care less. We decided, because the food is excellent to just get our food and drinks from the knowledgeable bartender.
Well, we finally got a server. Big mix up, I guess. They comped our drinks and an appetizer. This place is stand-up.
