Pizza Ranch

As soon as I walked in, I was instantly horrified. It looked like a scene from a horror movie. The salad bar was disgustingly messy and there was barely any lettuce. There were maybe two types of pizza, no ice cream, and everything was lukewarm. The pasta was over cooked and floating in water, as were the green beans. The buffet was fifteen dollars for cold pizza and just about no other options. Everything tasted like it had been left out since last Tuesday. The busboy couldn’t have been older than nine and there was garish music playing the whole time. The ambiance was awful, there were no servers, and it felt like a fever dream. I wish I could’ve politely excused myself before having to go through that. I would’ve rather eaten crumbs off the floor at a different restaurant than eaten here. I have never had a worse restaurant experience. I left unsatisfied and horrified after feeling like I had just eaten in the Twilight Zone.

Two in our family eat gluten free, so I called ahead to order their gluten free pizza so it would be ready when our family came to dine in. We were about fifteen minutes away. The person who answered the phone was quite unprofessional, talking to me, a customer, and an employee at the same time. When we arrived he remembered that I called and I paid for the GF pizza and for two buffets. While the two ate their buffet pizza we waited and waited and waited for the GF pizza. First I stood by the counter and waited and wasn’t acknowledged, then I sat down in my sticky seat and thought surely it was almost ready. Then I went to ask again by the counter. Finally a response of “it will be ready soon”. “This is why I called ahead of time!” I answered. He replied with a string of excuses, which included cussing and blaming everyone and everything but himself. No apology, no asking how he could make it right. I don’t think they began preparing the GF pizza until 5-10 minutes AFTER we arrived. Once we finally got it, it was very good (hence the two stars). I would definitely avoid dining in here. Maybe takeout is better, if you give them 3-4 times longer than they tell you. My two kids who ordered the buffet give it 3/5 stars… warmish pizza, cheesy bread not replenished, no ice cream machine. By far not a typical Pizza Ranch experience, but this location is definitely to be avoided.

Food was cold. Had to ask for a new cup because the first was dirty. Hate leaving reviews like this. But it is what it is. I lost my appetite pretty quickly.
