Shake Shack 479 Route 17 South - Paramus

Delicious food but pretty ridiculous pricing. Charging $10 for a burger (with no sides included) that's smaller than a whopper at Burger King. They definitely outclass regular fast food as the burger, buffalo chicken sandwich, fries, and shake were outstanding - just wish the pricing matched the portions a bit better. The staff were also very nice but make sure to double check what you ordered because sometimes they forget things like adding cheese to cheese fries as an example. Absolutely worth trying but not too worthy as a meal to have regularly.

How disappointing this shake shack was. Although shake shack is my favorite burger place, this location was horrible. First the mess of this place was disgusting. The tables weren't wiped at any time. And the place was basically dead so it wasn't like it was busy. They messed up my burger first leaving out the bacon then realizing they put a glob of sauce towards the back even though I ordered to have it removed. I just asked them to add the bacon and dealt with it. Then when I went up (twice) the staff just stared at me. They didn't necessarily look like they didn't want to help me, more so lost. Almost like they were questioning themselves as to who is responsible to come talk to me. I had to wave one of them over as the staff just leaned against the tables staring mindlessly. I will continue to eat at shake shack as I've had no problems with other locations.

Shake Shack is the best chain burger spot, and this location delivers on that expectation. The burgers are juicy and cooked-to-perfection. The Shack Sauce is delicious and not too overpowering. The fries are crunchy on the outside while remaining soft and warm on the inside. This location has a great pick-up process for people ordering on-the-go, and a decently big dining room for those dining in. Staff is great too!

The shake was excellent as is the seating area We had to wait 15 minutes for a burger and hot dog where they had orders from 3 in- person customers and had TWELVE WORKERS IN THE KITCHEN. The burger and hot dog were disappointing: 1. The hot dog was burned and had to be redone. 2. The burger had a chip of bone in it that I luckily didn't beak a tooth on, 3. Instead of a slice of cheese my burger had a squirt of the liquid cheese that they put on everything. 4. Shake Shack doesn't use onions on anything, not the burgers and the Chicago hot dogs with onions are no longer offered. Come on, everyone else has onions and Costco has better hot dogs. Come on, step up your game and give a better experience than the Wendys down the street. For $25 for 2 people you should do better, and give priority to your live customers instead of door dash. Now that people are going OUT to eat more, if you want local people to give you repeat business and come INTO your place more than once, you will need to give better value and a better experience.

I haven't had shake shack in awhile, and was really hungry, and since I saw the high rating, I gave this place a try. Ok so I ordered two burgers(one with double patty), two fries, and one hot dog. My burgers were extremely greasy/dry, kind of burnt, my fries tasted old(not sure if they were suppose to taste like this) and my hot dog was inedible, it was really dry and was actually burnt. Here are some photos of the hotdog that ended up in the garbage. Probably won't be coming here again.

My family orders from here all the time as we live 5 min from the mall. Today I got the most soggiest chicken crispy sandwich dripping completely in sauce. I spoke to manager and he said sorry there is nothing we can do. Funny thing is the gentle man at the register was more helpful. The bread and everything was so moist it was uneatable. If my son didn’t love shake shack as much I would be done with this place. I took a picture of the sandwich and would love the company to reach out or if this actually had an option I would post the picture so that others stay away. My husband does say he prefers going to the one on route 17. Guess he was right.
