The best fish anywhere, period. Their fish has been written about all over the country. They get their whitefish fresh from Lake Superior ever morning and serve it fresh every day. I want their secret to beer batter, the best I've ever had for sure. Fresh lake trout as well, and you can get it broiled if you want.
We were the FIRST customers of the season. Open from noon until the fish runs out. The BEST WHITEFISH! Smoked fish, chowder, fish dip that's worth the drive. They only take cash or check so be prepared. If you're anywhere near Paradise make this a "must stop" lunch or dinner!
This place has GREAT fish! The battered fish was tender and soft and delicious with the tartar sauce they serve. We ordered the 3 piece fish, fish sandwich, and white fish soup. I personally think that the white fish 3 piece was the best option. The fish pieces are very generous. Definitely bring cash or check— they don’t accept credit cards! They also calculate tax and include tip in the total, so bring more money than you’d expect to pay.
Awesome! Excellent, excellent! Both the deep fried and broiled white fish were awesome, during lunch today. Very fresh. The motzerella sticks and coleslaw were also good. Got there about 12:20pm, not open yet, patrons lined up outside. Doors opened, and we all got right in for a seat. Others arriving waited outside for seats as others finished. They also sell smoked fish at the counter. They apparently close Saturday 12OC for the season. Cash or check only, no CC.
For folks visiting for the first time right now during the pandemic, note that a 15% required gratuity is included on top of the menu prices. Remember to bring cash.
The fish was good, my wife liked the fries as well. For a three piece meal would definitely liked to have had more tartar sauce, there was one small container. Something to consider for other customers to ask for additional containers, could have easily used 3-4.
Food was great- and I didnt want the meal to stop. We got a 2 piece white fish, the white fish sandwich, onion rings, slaw and the smoked fish dip. Ive had better dip. No indoor seating at this time. Everyone there was so sweet and helpful! I'd definitely go back!
Drove 5 hours for this fish, well worth it. Best I have ever had. The deep fried mushrooms were also a nice suprise!
It’s very well prepared fish. It’s certainly no frills and the wall air conditioner might not keep up on hot days. But they don’t try to be more. The place is ran by 3rd generation native Americans who run a fishery and serve the catch of the day at this restaurant.
The fish menu is limited an they will run out of fish when the days catch has been bought. The fried whitefish basket is just excellent and must be tried.
Everything you would want a fish shack to be and then some. Whitefish sandwich or basket, either are hands down delicious. Don't just pass this place by.
This place is hands down the best place to get fish around Paradise! A must stop! Great people.
