I’ve been coming to Captain Anderson’s for years and It’s always been consistently good. The menu has something for everyone and the food is tasty. There can be a long wait despite the extremely large size of the restaurant, but once you are seated the service is fast. The restaurant has some great views if you get near a window. It couldn’t hurt from a little updating. We always get the seafood platter and then usually a shrimp and scallops platter. The she crab soup is worth the upgrade, and that bread, just keep it coming. Some call it a tourist trap but it’s been around forever and is voted a favorite year after year, so I say definitely consider it for an evening out. Bring the fat wallet, or the credit card :-)
Very nice place to eat. I I tried the famous shrimp and they were large and juicy I did opt for the peeled and deveined as I knew it would be buttery. Man was I correct. I ordered the grouper with lump crab meat and it was a huge piece of fish more so then I could eat, enough for two for sure. The char was perfect and the crab was just right. I had the Greek salad which was a solid choice the toppings were just right and the dressing homemade. The little things were thought of too, lemons had a netting on it as to not get seeds in my fish, a warm wet towel for my hands, and quick service even with the rush that was here. The place it’s self is a bit dated but it added to the charm and warmth of it, I would not have expected anything else. I dined alone and it was wonderful as a single dinner too, normally you are given the room in the back or without a view. The last thing I will note is the kitchen is open and visible to the dinning room with is very pleasant to see. Thank you to my server and please say high to Ramona T she has been here for 14 years!
Walking into this restaurant gives you the feel of walking onto a ship. Great atmosphere, great food, great service! The crab fingers app is soooo good and then the rolls dipped in the crab fingers butter is 🤤🤤. This restaurant is at the top of my list of favorite restaurants in PCB. We also grabbed some sweets on the way out walking through the store. Reasonably priced and also delicious. We will definitely be back!!
The restaurant is beautiful and it makes you feel like you're walking into a fancy ship. Our server Antonia was super friendly and very helpful. The Florida lobster was delicious as well as their jumbo shrimp.
Good food and a great atmosphere. The shrimp cocktail was tasty and not too pricey. The Scamp Imperial and Salmon was excellent. Our waitress was nice even though she seemed to be busy with a lot of tables. They had a wine specialist that was also helpful. Check them out if you want some good seafood.
One of the best tasting seafood restaurants in Panama! Food was great, server was great, Most portion sizes were as described .Definitely will return. We did wait an hour during busy time but that being said at other local place almost 3 hour wait for Sub par food. Don't sleep on this place to try when you're here. Only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 was it could use some music 🎶 imo but it was very nice inside. 👌
Without a doubt, my favorite place to eat in PCB. Top notch service, excellent food, great atmosphere amd a phenomenal wine list. The staff is always educated, professional and very VERY good at what they do. Even during dinner rush timestou never feel as if you are being pushed out the door. Our every need and question was attended to quickly, efficiently and with a smile. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an elegant and enjoyable evening!
We hosted my son and future daughter in law’s surprise engagement party in the private dining room at Capt. Anderson’s over the weekend and let me tell you it was phenomenal!! We could not have asked for a better experience, the staff was amazing and attentive and the food was delicious as always. They really went above and beyond to help make our occasion special. I would highly recommend for any party or large gathering!
Old faithful has been a PCB classic for both locals and tourists alike for as long as I can remember. You can't go wrong with their seafood options and the steak whether you go for the Churasco or the Filet hold their salt against the rest of their offerings. My personal recommendation would be the oysters for an appetizer or the peel and eat shrimp. The grouper imperial and scamp imperial are my two favourite fish options with the later being more expensive but definitely worth the extra $. Make sure to view their dessert platter and take a 'risk' on the feud cake, not many other restaurants feature that slice of heaven.
Captain Anderson's is a must each time we visit Panama City Beach. Food, service, and atmosphere are outstanding. One of my go-to dishes is the stuffed flounder. Stuffed grouper is great too! Captain Anderson's is a dining EXPERIENCE like no other in the area.
