Fed the family with 3 different dinners as a carry out from OISH. Our fried fish dinners were delicious & still hot even after the drive home. The haddock & cod were dipped in a tasty batter & fried perfectly & served in ginormous pieces on a bed of fries! The shrimp were big & fried perfectly!
The dinners were packed very nicely in sturdy white cardboard boxes that kept everything presentable, intact & hot! Will definitely come back soon for another tasty fish supper!
Food and service are great! Very high quality seafood and fish. Had the best prime rib ever last night (cut with a fork tender!)
We have tried almost everything on the menu and love it all. Great flavor & not over salted! Additional dinner specials throughout the week - no reason to cook yourself or go anywhere else.
In my opinion, many reviewers complaining about pricing do not realize the value Shrimp House provides for the level of quality and care in the ingredients. For example, try it yourslef by buying a pound of jumbo shrimp, then breading, frying, sauce and cleaning up for less then $22
Please continue to support this family business during coronapocalypse as I need my seafood fix.
My wonderful friend Jim, invited me to have lunch at the Island Shrimp House for my birthday. The service and food was AMAZING! We wanted to try all the things they're known for like: the mac&lobster, clam chowder, fried cod and the most popular item "LOBSTER ROLL". I just can't tell you enough how tasty everything was. Services was fantastic, clean and great restaurant atmosphere. Very courteous/happy staff. A real pleasure.
I love the food here. Always prepared fresh from top quality ingredients. The restaurant is always extremely clean and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I know all this because I own the place.
My sister and her husband treated us here tonight after our big shopping day! Oh what a treat it was! I ordered the breaded scallops and breaded shrimp. My husband had the shrimp and smoked salmon. My sister and her husband had lobster Mac and cheese, a lobster roll, cornbread, and we all had their excellent clam chowder. I haven't had such thick and creamy clam chowder like that in years! The shrimp and scallops were the biggest I've ever had! They were fantastic! Aside from the terrific food and the charming decor, our waitress was the owner's wife, Patty, who was so wonderful to us! To top off our delicious meal, we all shared bites of the Key Lime Tart! Merry lime has never been my personal favorite, but I've never had THIS before, me it can persuade me! It was really great! I highly recommend The Original Island Shrimp House! You won't be disappointed.
SIMPLY BEYOND DELICIOUS ! You will not find any more fresher seafood then here. THE QUALITY OF SEAFOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD ! Our server Will was GREAT !
As I first timer I had the pleasure of speaking with Tim the owner who took his time to go through the menu with me to find something that my man-friend (insider)and I would enjoy! He had the lobster roll and clam chowder and I had the jambalaya, lobster Mac and cheese, and cornbread. The food was sooooo delicious. Based on our conversation and the delicious food you could tell that they take pride in their service. We’ll definitely be back to try more food.
Even though the food was was carry out it was delicious. Lobster roll was great. For my first visit I was impressed!! I will be back again to try the other items on the menu.
