Turkey Red

Drove up from Wasilla last night and so glad I did. The Brie berry appetizer was delish. Tart and sweet plus cheese. So good. The Mediterranean salad reminded me of my time in Greece and the Salmon special was flavorful. The only recommendation would be to cook the salmon a bit less. Make sure you ask for it medium. It was pretty well done. Service was prompt and food was great overall.

Not the best experience tonight. The food was tasty and the limited staff tried hard, that is why they got a 3 from me. My Moussaka is pictured. The potatoes were good but the cheese was burned so badly it ruined the dinner. The Brie dish was served without the walnuts and only had 4 pieces of bread with it. Even with limited staff they need to try harder.

Service is not their strongest attribute. The food us good but takes forever to make. Most everyone seated already had their food. Only 3 people showed up at the same time as us. It took over 30 minutes to make 2 sandwiches. Thirty minutes. Seems crazy when I could make and bake a pizza faster than that. Or grill a burger patty and fix that up. The food is delicious. Fresh. Crisp lettuce. But every time I've gone there it's been a wait. The longest I've waited was 45 minutes. That's a long time....

Went on Saturday to have lunch. The food at Turkey Red is always so good. Takes a while to come out of the kitchen but I was expecting that. The reason for the one star is we sat down and waited 15 min for anyone to come take our order. I almost got up and walked out. It was not busy at all. There was maybe three other occupied tables. Only received water once. After my daughter and myself sat with empty glasses, I got up and got a pitcher myself. The only time any of the staff came to our table was to take our order, then to bring the food. I had to get up and go to the counter to ask for to go boxes and pay the check. We were sitting at the table right in front of the counter. Multiple staff behind the counter talking etc. but not once was our table checked on. I am sad to say this in not a unique experience with the service here. I will order take out because I have always loved the food, but it will be quiet a while if ever before I eat in the restaurant again

Went to have a nice breakfast with my wife. Food was ok but everything had a layer of grease or something they cooked with on it. There was a layer of moisture on the plate. We only saw the waiter to order them other people brought us the food and took our plates. Breakfast came with bread but had to ask for it and by the time I got it, I was done with my food. I ordered coffee with my food and since we never had our server again, I never got a refill. I would never have spent that much on coffee if I had known I wouldn’t get a refill at least once. I will not be going back for a while. People in this town seem to love this place but I get better service almost everywhere else I go.
