The side dishes at Brown's BBQ Soul Food are just as amazing as the fried chicken! They offer a variety of classic Southern sides like collard greens, mac and cheese, cornbread, and baked beans. Each side is made with love and packed with flavor. It's the perfect complement to your meal.
I’m recommending you to call and order ahead for take out, the atmosphere is a bit old and not somewhere you can sit and comfortable enjoy your food.
Cool little barbecue spot with really good soul food it was the best place we found in Palm Springs for fried chicken fried shrimp and all of those good things they had phenomenal greens and beans and rice and the shrimp was really good. Great yams too! Really good service when we pulled up they instantly got our order it's kind of hard to see the restaurant we almost pulled away it's a little dingy thing in between two other places so you have to park and get out of your car to find it in the middle
The small place is hidden to the left of the barber shop. Food is made fresh, so it may take a little longer, but it is well worth the wait. We had the tri-tip and catfish dinners, and they were cooked to perfection. Some of the sides sell out quickly, so the earlier you order, the better.

I like to go to holes in the wall restaurant and this is on top of the list in Palm Springs. I bet most people may not be brave enough to step onto the parking lot. But it's worth the chance...
It's 100% home cooking, just like grandma's, minus the bacon fats for better or worse. Not the healthiest cuisine, except mustard greens and yams. Corn bread was Mmmm. Catfish was not fresh understandably for Palm Springs but other meats are falling off the bone tender and delicious.
Services were friendly. We'll be back.

We called ahead to place our order which was a great time saver. Unfortunately, they were out of most of the things we wanted to order - but what they had…amazing!
Cornbread was moist, the fried chicken was amazing! The fried shrimp was the best I’ve ever had. Perfect breading.
We had the delicious mac and cheese and the collard greens.

My other half is not from the Valley, and was missing his family’s cooking so I had searched around town for a restaurant offering soul food. We were greeted by Aaron, who was very attentive and welcoming to us. We ordered a tri tip dinner and a chicken dinner and it was DELICIOUS. It was so good we even ordered food to go home with! We will definitely be back. Thank you for giving us a new spot to enjoy!
We were looking for a place to eat and came across this hidden jewel. The greeting was very welcoming. It is a very small warm location. We were sad to say we were unable to try the oxtail. Our order was the tri-tip plate w/2 sides (collard greens & red beans and rice) & cornbread, 4pc wings w/2 sides (collard greens & mac n cheese) & cornbread. Everything was fresh, robust with authentic ingredients and flavor. We will be coming back on our next trip and get there earlier to have the oxtail! Brown's BBQ has made it on our favorites!
Brown's BBQ is delicious. We ordered 2 meals and a full rack of BBQ beef ribs. In the pictures you only see half of the ribs, there was another container with 3 additional ribs :). The food was great, the kids loved the Mac N Cheese and the Red beans and Rice. Momma loved the Collard Greens. Everyone enjoyed the fried chicken and ribs. There was so much food that we made two meals out of it, not bad for a family of 5 :).
Brown's is a Pop and Sons operation on a small scale, I recommend calling in your order to give them time to prepare before you show up. Support the family and enjoy the ribs and fried chicken!
