We found this restaurant while walking along the main street in Palm Springs. reservations were available but not needed, The menu had Belgian and French dishes with lots of choices, we enjoyed the mussels, beef, and lamb. The food was delicious and service was excellent.
This is one of my favorite French dining spots in the valley and they have one of the best French onion soups I’ve had by far. It’s a nice and cozy kind of place and with friendly staff. The first time we went it was all French speaking patrons and gave the impression of being very authentic.
We found the place by chance and were happily surprised by absolutely everything. From the wine recommendations to the desserts . Willy our garçon was very french and polite . Definitely one of our local favorites now.
Great venue for a wonderful meal. Friendly and attentive staff! Professionals at heart!
First time here and it was nice. Make reservations!! Nice outdoor space. Nice indoor space. The food was wonderful. Great beer and wine list. The cocktails made by bartender Nadia are wonderful!! She is amazing. Very friendly and personable. The guy at the host stand a bit harsh, but he didn't deter us from having a good time.
This place is amazing. I want to go again and again to try something new. When I thought it was one way, and it came out to this mind-blowing dish.
One of our most favorite places in the area! Have never had a meal here that we did not enjoy. The frog kegs and mussels are delish!
The decor reminds you of being in Belgium, with many Art Deco posters all over all the walls. The place cozy but still spacious enough. The menu is unique in Palm Springs, probably the only French cuisine in downtown area. We had Scampi in butter and parsley, frog legs, sole meunière, Flemish beef stew, all excellent. Very savoury and rich, didn’t spare the butter. Then well toasted bread was just right. The frites was mediocre. The 3 sauces, ketchup, mayo and salsa brava saved the frites. Would come back to try other plates for sure.
Cody from the Palm Springs Yacht Club (Parker Spa) recommended we come here and I’m SO glad he did!!! He also recommended we ask for Willy the server, who treated us like we were regulars. I ate the Branzino off the specials menu and it was perfect. Salty, buttery, lemony, and the perfect texture. My husband ordered the New York steak also from the specials, and he scraped his plate clean. My birthday wasn’t until the next day but my guy Willy brought me a little treat anyway. We sat inside right next to the opening to the patio and the ambiance couldn’t have been more romantic for my husband and I. My favorite meal in Palm Springs, which is saying a lot because all the food we’ve had has been top notch. I didn’t get anyone else’s name, but everyone who stoped by our table was kind and helpful. Thank you Pomme Frite! We will definitely be back next time we’re in PS <3
March 2022: to make a reservation for 5, I needed to call the restaurant and was able to secure a table on the patio! JC was friendly getting the guests to their table. Our server, Mark, was knowledgeable and a bit curt (we ordered the Onion Soup, and ask for an extra bowl to share that never came out until we asked the busser to bring one out for us), please lighten up. Otherwise, the meal was good: Cassoulet (lacks flavor), Beef Short Rib, Vegetarian Lasagna, Mussels, Beef Stew, and Fried Branzino. We tried the Dessert Sampler and it was just OK.
Feb 2019: Great service, nice ambience, good foods (really enjoyed the steamed mussels). Perfect for a group dinner.
