Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Dear Olive Garden , My son and I had many things to do yesterday, some were not pleasant but had to be done. We spent many hours in the car, and as you know, that can be annoying at times even in the best of circumstances. I was on the verge of tears almost the entire day and it seemed as if when the wind blew I would cry. When evening came and we were through with the things we needed to do we were very hungry, and since we always love your restaurant we looked to see if there was one in the area close by. We found one that was only a few miles away and were quite happy to be able to get in without a wait. This restaurant was in Owings Mills , Maryland. We were seated by a tall attractive young man whose name we found out was Alvin Johnson. We ordered and I could not keep my eyes from tearing up throughout the entire dinner. Every time the tears would fill my eyes Mr. Johnson was back at our table, with a lovely smile, with respect , with charm and professionalism that you seldom get with any server. I didn’t have time to cry; he was that attentive. He seem to anticipate what we might want or need throughout the entire meal, sometimes even before we knew it ourselves. He was so kind and just full of genuine warmth. This world has turned into an ugly mess it seems, full of hate and division. This young man should be an advertisement for everybody to know what’s possible if people are just a little caring to each other. Most people don’t realize that they can have a profound impact on people they don’t even know in a very brief period of time. Mr. Alvin Johnson is certainly one of those people. He kept me from being sad, and in that very brief period of time he made my life so much better, in the life of my son as well. While I have your undivided attention I might as well mention that I asked to speak to the manager while we were there. It was great to tell him how wonderful Mr. Johnson was and how helpful he had been throughout the meal. We were both so surprised to find out that the manager was just as charming as Mr. Johnson was. I’m sure he had other things to do that were much more important than listening to an old woman and her son talk, but he took the time to listen and was genuinely appreciative. He was very proud of this young man himself. Your food is really good and your restaurants are very fun to go to. My granddaughter even had her wedding meal at one. Yesterday was a combination of perfection with the food and the service and the genuine care of your staff. Thank you Olive Garden for a wonderful experience, and thank you wonderful manager of the Owings Mills restaurant, but mostly thank you Mr. Alvin Johnson for a meal that will always be remembered. The food was awesome but the service we received was horrible. Our server couldn’t be bothered with us. These are the things that happened during our visit •We couldn’t order food until she brought out the drinks. (we were told this even tho we were ready) •When we ordered, she never removed the menus. •We sat the bowl of finished soup on the top of the menus but neither was removed. • We ended up not liking the tea as asked for water and sprite... SHE BROUGHT THE DRINKS BUT NEVER REMOVED THE TEAS.. even brought refills and left all of the cups on the table🙃 •We asked for plastic utensils once the food was brought out and she told us after she cleans the tables beside us, she’ll get them. She took her time and we were just sitting like 😅😳🙃 All in all, the experience was a no for us.

Was there on a Sat evening after a movie. Great friendly service from our waitperson as well as all staff there. Clean. Not crowded. Food was hot, fresh, & delicious although kind of salty. I wish they would not sprinkle salt on the bread sticks & on the salad.😐 But everything was yummy. Myself & a friend had Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parm, salad, mozerella sticks, strawberry lemonade, Diet Coke. Yum!
