I went in hoping for duck soup with our noodles. That didn't work out so I decided on the chicken and broccoli. Wow! I'm glad I changed my mind. It was fantastic.
Why only 4 stars then? My wife had some basic questions about the menu and the server's English was too limited for her to understand or answer. My wife ended up having to ask the manager.
While I understand that it's an authentic Chinese restaurant, since it's serving an English speaking customer base the servers should speak English well enough to answer basic questions.

They do a LOT better at dinner time than the lunch buffet. It's the same items as dinner time but the lunch buffet items lose their flavor after sitting out a while so my only warning is you go for dinner rather than lunch.
Other than that, great food, awesome selection and friendly staff. Much friendlier than House of Chen and Hon's Wok.
The 3-Cup Squid is great for spicy food lovers. I only wish they'd throw in tentacles too.

I hadn't eaten here in a long time, but food was still good. Love the pot stickers and crab rangoon. My fav meal hot braised fish was no longer on the menu but they made it for me anyway and it was wonderful.

Good sit-down, family Chinese diner. Remember its shut on Tuesdays, but you can reserve the entire place if you have a party (which is what we did). They have a decent spread of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. The crispy tofu was a vegetarian favourite.

Mandarin House is one of the best Chinese places in the area. The wait staff is courteous and pay attention to you without being overbearing, the food is brought out while it's piping hot, and it's always tasty. We haven't had a meal that wasn't delicious!

Great place for dim sum, Chinese brunch. They can accommodate large groups and the food is very good. Must have' s are pork belly, pork dumplings, any of the shumai (personally love the scallop), chrysantheum tea, pineapple bread, and crispy noodles. Crab platter and clams are also great dishes. I only 4 starred this place because I almost never give 5 😎

For me, this is a staple restaurant for great Chinese food for a group. It's a spacious restaurant with all authentic Chinese dishes as well as American variants. Service is always quick and responsive and the food is delicious.
Plenty of large tables with the circular spinning table for eating family style and having good conversation. Recommend coming with a group so you can order lots of dishes and sample a wide selection. Some of my favorites are the salt and pepper shrimp and the hot pots.

the taste and quality of food is good. I would rate 4, but this place earned a 5 because of the variety of food offered for dim sum!!! local Chinese delicacies that you cannot find elsewhere. fried duck beaks, coagulated pigs blood soup to name a few.

Very nice place. A nice place to take a date. This is not a buffet, well at dinner it isn't. The LongIsland Ice Tea is the most amazing drink, not sure what they do to it or what makes it taste so different but it is strong an very worth trying. The food was great and service was impeccable.

Really good Dim Sum offerings. I took a star off due to service not always consistent depending where you sat in the restaurant, and on this particular day, both restrooms were out of order. I had to take my son and his friend a few stores down to use their restroom.
