Domino's Pizza

The store was slammed on Saturday so our order was (unsurprisingly) delayed. We received an email explaining that our next order (of equal or lesser value) would be free. The store manager (Steph) was gracious and accommodating. She followed through on the email promise and my family enjoyed pizza TWICE that week!

“Welcome to Domino’s on a Friday night!” His eyes were wild, but focused — the look of a man pouring every ounce of his will into riding the line between chaos and control in the desperate scramble to keep pace with the demands heaped upon him. Those demands were simple, get the pizzas in the hands of the delivery drivers or, as in my case, the foolish folk who thought a pickup at their local dominos would be a simple, orderly affair. Men and women with sweat streaks and furrowed brows zipped around the exposed kitchen. Monitors blinked an incessant string of orders from overhead, and not an inch of space on the stainless steel work surfaces was absent the hurried, but sure hands of the pizza mongers. The exasperation in the man’s voice was clear, it was a tough job, but beneath the surface was an open-hearted pride. This man, the entire crew, was pushing their dough-slinging to the limit, and they were doing it for me and everyone like me — hungry on a Friday night. This wasn’t a set of food service workers, but a junk food pit crew with the spirit of Mission Control trying to bring that one last lost and lonely astronaut back to earth and feed him a half pepperoni half mushroom. Welcome to dominos, indeed.

I placed an online order for my roommates and I’s dinner since I couldn’t bring myself to cook after a stressful day at work and the order included an 8 piece mild buffalo wings, upon delivery I had received the wrong flavor of wings and called the store just to let them know. April was so sweet and pleasant to talk to and remedied my situation within seconds, even upgrading my 8 piece to a 16 piece. Everybody makes mistakes and their generosity goes a long way for me, especially today. You never know whose day you’ll be making with a simple act of kindness. Thank you guys so much.

The online ordering is pretty awesome once you figure it out. Its not very hard to figure out and you get points towards free rewards. If your pizza is late they give you a coupon for a free one. I order here a lot. They are open late and pretty reliable. Food is always hot and fresh. I love the cheesy bread stuffed with feta and spinach. The deep dish pizzas are so good. Definitely one of the best places to order in this city. 100/10 stars!
