Chee Peng

Food is inconsistent. First visit chicken was tough, beef was tough. Husband wanted to do take out order for 2nd visit, give their food a 2nd chance. Chicken was good beef was tough. Today, July 5, Husband want to give them 3rd try. Chicken was absolutely horrible 😫. Not only tough, but sinewy and had skin too. I said no more tries.

Egg drop soup, egg roll and crab cheese was good. It ended there the Princess Chicken had no spice, very little chicken. It did have excessive onion and green pepper, about 2/3 the dish. The broth was very watery. My wife had teriyaki chicken, it was two whole chicken breasts cut up sitting in a liquid broth. This used to be our favorite place but now would not recommend it. We won’t be back.

I read the reviews was excited to try our small town thia-Chinese restaurant I ordered thia for the first time at chee peng of oscoda about a month ago it was tasteless and greasy we decided to give the restaurant another try and went with the chinese menu this time around and again super disappointed food display was eye catching but again rice had no taste food was soggy and also had no real taste very bland we will not be trying this restaurant again its a shame because its the only thia and or chinese place in oscoda

Disappointed in our carry out order. I had sesame chicken. It looked good but the chicken tasted bad. Also, my friend did not like the taste of the fried pork that came with (the Chinese vegetables - they tasted good). Maybe because the restaurant was crowded and the carry out order was not as good as it used to be. We always liked their food before but the quality has not been the same for our last couple orders this year.

Wait staff is excellent. Food is disappointing. Waited an hour for 3 soups (which are always excellent) and a puny, bite size egg roll. Food has declined dramatically over past 3yrs. Greasy, chewy, egg foo young. Fried rice that has hard bits of hardened rice, almond chicken pieces that are tough as jerky.
