Son and I loved our food and thoroughly enjoyed the patio. My red snapper tacos were delicious. Came with fries which I didn't know until they were presented. Delicious and I am not normally a big French fry fan. (I did not pollute them with ketchup). We shared the three layer dip, delicious. (Forget the name...sorry! But you can see the picture below). And the Kung Pau Cauliflower was amazing. Decent, not dazzling, beer selection.

First time going last Saturday with my friend. We liked it. Great price for bottomless mimosas. Our waitress kept my glass full at all times. Food came out fast with great taste. We made a reservation and it was the best because the place got packed super fast. Great atmosphere as well. Will be back!
“Menagerie - a strange or diverse collection of people or things,” the dictionary definition of the tastiest most eclectic new restaurant of all the new ones that have popped up recently in Thornton Park/Downtown. From the sick modern art that hangs on the walls, to the heavy nautical rope that adorns the ceilings, it certainly has the look of a menagerie. And, I’m happy to say, the drinks and food more than made their restaurant’s name proud...
We started with the “Smoking Dragon” old fashioned, for our drink of choice. 5 minutes or so later, the waitress walks up with these giant lantern looking things with smoke billowing out of them, and a little glass door to recuse our drink from... All I can say is WOW! Never seen anything like that before... We then all 3 ordered burgers, because on Tuesday nights it’s $7 burgers for any of them on the menu. These burgers had high end brisket and other gourmet ingredients not normally associated with America’s favorite sandwich, and they sure didn’t disappoint! My dinner guest even said this might be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! And I agreed with him, mouthful of meat and all...
Menagerie Restaurant is great little secret hideaway with great food and amazing craft drinks... but I doubt it will be a secret for long!
Menagerie’s did a wonderful job hosting our large party of 30 for a great brunch with my brothers celebrating 110 years of our amazing fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi’s bond! I have the basic breakfast with eggs bacon and potatoes & a side of toast. I also had the bloody diamond as my drink which was great as well. For desert I had the donut bread pudding because it was the “signature” dish. But I could’ve done without it.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was a bit slow considering there were not that many people eating. The lobster and grits were filling and worth the price, the salmon was the best part of our meal.
Great location in addition to atmosphere. The service was great especially with our bottomless mimosas which were a great deal. And the food was delicious, I ordered chicken and waffles and it so tender, crispy and well seasoned. The waffles were white cheddar waffles which were my first time trying them and it was a great first time. The mimosas were also very tasty. I will definitely be returning !!
Excellent choice for brunch. Sister restaurant to Stubborn Mule across the street. I havent been to Stubborn Mule but was told by the hostesses that they have the same brunch menu items. The restaurant has a great vibe and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The craft cocktails are the perfect complement to delicious and interesting menu food items. The meals are large and you can easily split one with perhaps a side or an appetizer between 2 people. We enjoyed our time here very much and will definitely be back!
Highly recommend: db donut bread pudding, crab cakes benedict
Menagerie is a cool spot that's a quick walk from Lake Eola and most anything downtown. It's kind of a modern pub(ery) crossed with American eatery kind of joint and casual vibe. Very open with some wild artwork. Having Jarod Leto's Joker character staring at me for the night was a little crazy.
We started with drinks, of which there are several craft-style libations to choose from. The Blue Suede Mule (pictured) was excellent. I also enjoyed the Big Top. The Zesty Tiger was missing any hints of sweetness with blood orange or agave. Was more of a jalapeño juice cocktail than anything. There are a few more I'd like to try for sure.
For a starter, we had the Taiwanese Night Market. Bite sized chicken fried to perfection with a Dragon Sauce. Despite its name, the heat was mild. Very good!
Our entrees were the Chilean Salmon Stuffed with Lump Crab Meat and the Oceanside fresh catch snapper. Both were featured off menu items. Very tasty and fresh. Excellent preparation.
Prices were more on the higher end, but they did have some lighter fare like burgers and sandwiches. I almost had a burger but it was an easy out for a night on the town.
Overall a good experience! We had planned on going to the Stubborn Mule, their "sister" across the street but it had a long wait. The hostess recommended Menagerie and I'm glad she did.
Service was friendly and explained everything well. It was busy and a little slower to come around than we would've liked. Food arrived without delay and at a good pace. Our server was also the bartender and he mentioned it would be team service but he was with us until almost the end.
Judging from the scene and fellow patrons, it's a good spot for a date night, a few drinks with friends, and they also accommodated a large party of about a dozen while we were there. Plenty of bar space with a couple TVs to catch the game. A handful of high tops and booth seating. If you're looking for a cool spot give it a shot.
Wow! Menagerie was incredible. My sister and I had the spirit dining experience and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and helpful. I got the curry tempura cauliflower and filet and it was incredible. Not sure why this restaurant could get 4 stars. It’s a 5 in my book.

Excellent brunch spot! We tried the deviled eggs and they were delish. Good cocktails! Portions are huge so I would share the plates. If you have space for dessert, I would recommend trying the coquito bread pudding. So freaking yummy!
