Best Indian food I've had in a long time!! Love all the Indian decor too, they really put a lot of work into everything. The service was great and the food was amazing! Definitely will be back!

I visited Dakshin when on holiday from Australia. The food was so delicious, quite unlike what I have tasted. I drooled over the South Indian dishes. The prawns were large and cooked to perfection. The hostess, Jennifer was so welcoming and attentive to our needs. She offered suggestions that suited our palates. I am planning to visit Orlando again this year and Dakshin is definitely on my to do list!

We ended up visiting Dakshin tired of the resort food and were instantly hooked. The fluffy Kerala style porotta and chicken chettinad were so good that we ended up ditching the junk resort food completely. Even though we were there on the 2019 Good Friday/Easter weekend, Jenny and Sam helped ensure that we were well taken care of during our visit. Their fish pollichathu was also brilliantly cooked with the spices permeating all the way inside! Brilliant South Indian restaurant while visiting Orlando.

This restaurant is the best Indian food I have ever tasted. They servers and staff really take into account spice level and will explain everything on the menu if you are confused. The food is flavorful and they staff accommodate each individual and their tastes. The restaurant itself is beautiful on the inside and out. The staff were kind and hospitable and open to any questions you may have. If I could give more stars I would.

The food was good but the service was very slow that that...probably they had 2 large groups that time and we had to wait for a looong time for our order to get served.
Thankfully the owner was kind enough to suggest a plate of Idly for the kids as they were getting restless.

Highly recommended, I’ve never tried Indian food before, and I was trying to find something different than pizza and burgers. All I have to say that I like it. This is my new favorite place in town. 100% recommended

Great service, excellent vegetarian dishes and papadam. Try the Dum Aloo Chettinad and Masala tea. Perfect basmati rice and we loved the steamed rice cake appetizer. This place is tucked between some cheesy chain restaurants, but is beautiful inside. Interesting woodcuts from India. A hidden gem. A bit pricey, but that's Orlando for you. We certainly had enough left over for lunch the next day. :)
