My wife and I while staying at the Marriott Orlando had dinner at the “Shade Bar and Grill.” We didn’t have the best experience with food and service. Being a restaurant owner, I all to well understand that every restaurant can have a bad night. I wanted to talk with the kitchen manager, being a late meal ( almost closing time ) he had already left. I went back in the morning before we checked out and asked to speak with the food and beverage manager. I was promptly greet be Michael the Restaurant manager. I explained our issues with the night before and we talked for quite some time of the new issues we have faced over the post Covid years. Michael could not have been more professional. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with him. I am leaving 5 stars not because of our experience the night before but rather knowing what great and capable hands this restaurant is in going forward. Thank you Michael.
Sincerely,

Dinner was very good. Had the Blackened Salmon Tacos which had a type of ranch sauce, pineapple, cabbage, sprouts, along with a side of vegetables. Overall, it was a good dinner that was comparative to other locations. Enjoy!
First time visiting on my way from the Taco and Margarita festival downtown. Very quaint atmosphere located inside the Marriott hotel, with very nice and relaxing music playing. Very friendly staff. Janine was my bar tender who made me a Red Sangria that was deliciously spot on and packed a punch! She was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional which is always refreshing. Gave my visit a 5-star rating because of the experience, although there is no happy hour and a change in menu items available, which varies from what it shows and says on their website. All in all, will return to try the food, and/or enjoy another cocktail!
The food was amazing! I believe the chefs name was Zannya and our waiter was O’Brian who were both terrific, especially for a Sunday evening. Definitely will be my go to spot for downtown.
Fun place, perfect for an affordable atmosphere much better than walking somewhere nearby. Highly recommend.
Just stayed at the Marriott for the Roger Waters concert and we slid down to the Shade Bar and Grill for a quick bite. We waited at the hostess stand for a couple of minutes. It looked like there were 2 bartenders, 1 waitress, and 2 bussers or food runners. I believe one of the hotel supervisors noticed us waiting and asked if we'd like a table. After confirming that we did, she let us know she'd grab some menus and be right back. She returned to escort us to our table and asked if we were there for the concert. I told her that we were and that we had been waiting since 2020....COVID. She told me they had just been told same day of the event. The hotel is walking distance from the venue, so they were filling up. Daniella was our server. She was absolutely lovely. The food was delicious. The bartenders were keeping their guests happy (and glasses in one piece). The food runner brought us hot, delicious looking burgers and sweet potato fries. (Yes, the taste was on point 👌) Despite the last minute influx of people everyone did a fantastic job making sure everything ran smoothly. Well done.
Our server, Pennie made us feel very welcome and her hospitality is exactly what I’m used to from Marriott, breakfast came out quick and she was always there if we needed anything. If you see this pennie thanks for the two days you took care of us after the concert, from the guy with no voice :)
We were there for our 51 year high school reunion and every time we stopped there either for drinks or breakfast the food was good BUT THEIR SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING!!!!!! We are a nice crowd but many of us and all different tastes and requests. We were all very pleased!!!
Awesome food! Our server Chris was very good and completely knowledgeable about anything we asked. Prices were extremely reasonable for such a nice place. I recommend....
Great Burger and the waitress was great!
