Was looking forward to this place, but was mostly disappointed. Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive although the place didn’t seem too busy. I ordered the hibachi steak cooked medium, but the meat came well done, tough, and dry. The rice had good flavor, but the following 18 hours I had a fishy taste in my mouth and I’m not sure why but must have been some ingredient or cross contamination. The server was decent but nothing special. Prices were moderate for a hibachi grill, about $15-20/person. The atmosphere was a mix between quick service/casual and a bit higher end with some nice decor and darker lighting. My husband said the men’s restroom was disgusting. I wasn’t happy with the food and won’t be returning.

It was the first time I've actually tried sushi here and I must say I was surprised with both the quality of fish, as well as the price! Service was good like always, but if they are busy it's not the fastest lunch spot.
The sashimi lunch combo is $15 and it comes with a spicy tuna roll. I really liked the presentation of the plate and the fish tasted very good! Definitely recommend it if you're into raw fish and don't need a lot of rice on your meal!
They also have other sushi lunch specials such as the 2 for $10.50 regular rolls or night +roll mixes. You can't go wrong with the spicy tuna, crab or Mexican rolls!

It's not the cleanest place and the dust near some of the headline ventilators was a bit disgusting, I was happy I didn't sit underneath it. Clothes will most likely smell like oil and hibachi afterwards, which is what you have to expect.

Good food and large portions of chicken and rice meal. A bit crowded and too loud at lunch time. Also they have problem with ventilation and you sitting there smelling all the smells and burnt stuff.
Prices were not bad - lunch for chicken and soup was about $15 after tax and tips.

Not only have been 3 times and constantly get the wrong order not what i asked for. The management and staff horribly rude. When called to see about a refund the server didnt want to do it nor did she want to give the managers name. Then told me to call back in the morning and she would do because we weren't about yo drive back after driving 20-30 mins to get the food togo. Because its 2 locations the 1 location was willing to give us a FULL REFUND because of the lack of service. However she said that Sandlake URBAN HIBACHI would have to do it. Then we spoke with the Manager, who refused to give us the money back after i sent a email of the picture of the food we ordered. But she would give a refund if we had a cash transaction( what kind of mess is that.The part that pisses me off is that when you run an establishment not only is the customer always right, but the Service provided should be Outstanding. All we want is our money Back, because theres no need to keep going somewhere where the service and meal is what you ask for.

This restaurant has been one of my go-to places for hibachi over the years. I ordered last week for takeout and got a few of the hibachi dinners. I was a little disappointed for several reasons. The first reason is no sushi was available, which I’m assuming because of the pandemic. The second reason is the portion size I was given is not like the portion size they give when you dine-in. The price is the same for takeout and dine-in. The third reason is they did not have salmon available and they cut back on the amount of scallops they give with the hibachi. They charge the same price but give less scallops. The person on the phone said they only give two scallops (they used to give 3 or 4) but I only got one. Other than that, the quality of the food was still great. Hopefully as the pandemic continues to fade away this place will be better like they used to be.
