Mellow Mushroom Orlando

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being outstanding, this restaurant is a 12! Three of us visited there on Sunday, 11/19. Summary: The food (mine was the Holy Shiitake pizza) was excellent, the temperature was perfect for sitting on the patio, and the service was outstanding. Our visit got off to a good start: the host greeted us in a friendly manner when we entered, and let us choose where we wanted to sit. However, it was our server, Tommy, who ensured that our experience at Mellow Mushroom was great. He was outgoing, attentive, made good suggestions, communicated clearly, anticipated our requests for refills, and checked on us regularly. Tommy shows all the characteristics of an experienced server with a great personality who is ready to move up through the ranks. (The reason I'm going on about the service is because ever since Covid, I've had some really sub-par experiences with servers at other restaurants. In fact, I can only think of two other restaurants that have notably good service: one is the Mellow Mushroom on Aloma and the other is Anna's Polish on Aloma.) Anyway, by the time he took our drink orders, Tommy had made a favorable impression on all three of us. We wish him well and hope to see him the next time we're there. Kudos to Mellow Mushroom for hiring servers like Tommy who have a strong customer service orientation. WE certainly notice it and appreciate it.

Consistently good food. The service is slow, we always have had nice and friendly wait staff but not always as attentive for refills and such. Food takes a while but it’s presented well, looks appealing and tastes great so not rushing makes a difference. The only issue we ever have, every time, is that the tables are so sticky even when wiped a few extra times. They need a sand and reseal or something .

Wow! What a great evening at an entertaining and chill vibe place. Amazing quality pizza and the Margherita was perfect. We got the Mighty Meaty! Highly recommend. The staff was kind and had just the right pace of attentiveness for a place called the mellow mushroom. They literally let you enjoy your food and moments with your group. Loved everything about this wonderful place. The sculpture in front with our beautiful flag was remarkable and fun to take pictures with...go if you can. It's worth it.

The food was amazing 🤯. It was my first time eating there, and the waiter although new was amazing, he checked in on us, and I never felt neglected. We got the spinach artichoke dip, and my stomach was doing the happy dance. The garlic parm chicken is so good, and the pizza was ridiculously good. We got the meaty one, and the substitute Margherita pizza. (Sorry I forgot the names) the atmosphere was nice as well and seemed sport bearish with a dash of hippy vibes.
