Super Rico Colombian Bistro

I have to say this!!!! You NEED to come here! I had a juicy & delicious burger called “Super Rico Burger” and it was exactly that Super Delicious. I had my diet coke… you know to watch my “diet” haha. For appetizers I had 3 empanadas “Carne, Guava & Cheese and Lentil” I have to say that the Lentil one was BOMB! Loved it!!! To end my meal I had a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk), what a great lunch and place with awesome music and staff.

No joke, I’m already planning what I’ll order on my next visit to Orlando! This was delicious. I’m from a city with lots of great and diverse food options, but now I live in a small town with nothing, and this filled a hole in my heart that has been aching for good food!! The cheese and guava paste empanada was a dream, and all the food made my heart sing. I’m hungry for it just typing this review! 🤤

Ate here on a Sunday night in October 2023. Food absolutely great, and the service was friendly and efficient. I've only been to Colombia a few times in my life, but this tastes like the meals I had there. So, I give it a 5 for authenticity. I went with a big dinner and an empanada. Food came fresh, hot, and quick. Small seating section inside, so I ate outside. Weather was OK, but I couldn't have eaten there during summer. Would have done something to-go if it was hot. Definitely worth it for real Colombian food.

Overdue review for Super Rico and their star employee Micah from a few weeks ago! I have celiac disease, which means I medically cannot have one crumb of gluten. It’s often met with eyerolls or frustration from cashiers and wait staff. Not Micah. He ENTHUSIASTICALLY and personally walked me through the entire menu, not only telling me what was safe (everything except the burger and dog buns) and what wasn’t, but also letting me know what were his favorite items and what the crowd favorites were. The food, of course, was EXCEPTIONAL — and celiac-safe gluten free— but Micah was the real treasure. And trust me, it’s difficult to outshine gluten free empanadas.

Super Rico in downtown is a culinary gem! My experience dining there was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting ambiance and friendly staff. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes that catered to various tastes. I started with their appetizers, which were a burst of flavors and creativity. The main course was a true highlight, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary expertise. Each dish was beautifully presented, and it was evident that a lot of thought went into the preparation. What truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. To top it off, the dessert options were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. Super Rico in downtown Orlando has undoubtedly earned its place as a must-visit restaurant. If you're looking for exceptional cuisine, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, this is the place to be. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu.

I passed this restaurant at the corner and had to turn around into the parking garage. Be prepared to pay $10 bucks for parking. It was Sunday night past 730pm, ordered skirt steak. It was bland, the marinade wasn’t there, but I am willing to come back and give it another try again. The plantains was delicious though! Sat outside and my view was the firehouse, I was people watching and downtown traffic.

I enjoyed the crispy yucca fries and the protein rations are so generous that I took most of it home to go. Pictured is an arepa con choclo, yucca fries, and chicken Rico Bowl with most of the lettuce and tomatoes already eaten. Nothing tasted bland, hard, stale, or cold. It was just as you would expect from a nostalgic Columbian restaurant.
