One of our favorite spots. This is a small, family run restaurant with an excellent selection of maki rolls, fresh ingredients and fantastic service. The Spicy Tuna Crunch is a great appetizer and the Magic Roll and Candy cane are two of my favorites.
Make sure to call ahead as they are typically booked. You will need a reservation!

This place undoubtably has the best sushi in Orlando! Truly, the freshest and most presentable I have come across. They have an extensive sushi list but everything can be customizable to you. My favorites are fatty matty, bay hill and the tango roll. The ladies that work there are so friendly and welcoming. My only advice is to make reservations. It’s a small restaurant and can get very busy. Take note, they are closed from 1-5pm.
Oh yeah don’t forget to order their fried cheesecake. You won’t regret it

I was told this place was "Life changing Sushi" by my friend and they aren't wrong. I've eaten sushi from some pretty good places, but this place hands down demolished all of them.
Food: (9/10) Amazing, the tuna lovers roll was the most tender tuna I have ever eaten, we paired it with authentic Wasabi (a must for any sushi lover). The tiger salad is another must try and if course they had a decent Nigori Sake to go with it all
Portions: (8/10) everything we had was decently portioned, with sushi less is more and they found the butter zone with the sizes not too small but also not too big, the rolls left us wanting just a bit more so we opted for sashimi which was also amazing.
Price: (9\10) The price to quality is hands down impressive, they serve the best sushi I have ever had and at a price that you can actually eat it 1-2 times a week if you really wanted.

As the saying says… “Good things come in small packages”. Bonsai Sushi rocks! It is a small little gem in Dr. Phillips. The service and the food is first class. I skipped dessert because the servings are huge but next time I’ll try the deep Tempura cheesecake for sure. If you love sushi, you’ll love this place.

My buddies and I absolutely love coming to Bonsai Sushi. Every single time we visit it delivers. The rolls are big and delicious. I love local spots like this. Every time I go I order the “Fatty Matty”. The desert is their “Tempura Cheesecake”. It is very rich and delicious. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi.

OMG- we have reached sushi Nirvana!! I just ate here with my sons and husband tonight, and all of our rolls were absolutely delicious. We’ve tried many other sushi restaurants in the area, and none come even close. The quality, freshness, and variety was phenomenal. I highly recommend going here!!! Oh- it’s a small place though, so make a reservation!

After visiting Tokyo in 2014, I’ve been trying to find sushi that comes close to that perfect taste and texture only truly found in Japan. This place is almost spot on! The sushi and sashimi selection is stellar, and the fish is obviously sourced from a second to none fish market. SUSHI SOOOO FRESH!!! The saki selection is superb, and they have the best go to Japanese beers available. The staff are always so very friendly, it’s no wonder this place is always packed! Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants in central Florida.

Creative rolls with consistent nod to neighborhood and area names. Seems like they put a lot of thought into the menu. High grade fish. Service is fast and friendly. We are always impressed by portion sizes as well. Wish they were open during lunch cause I hate waiting until 5.

I moved away from Orlando 7 years ago. I still make a point to go to Bonsai Sushi everytime I am back in town. I love the food and the staff makes you feel like family.
