Review Yachtsman Steakhouse - Orlando

Matthew Lyons
The food and service was excellent. We didn't have a reservation, but they were kind enough to find a way to squeeze us in. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the menu as well. The lobster bisque was very good. The ribeye steak was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The short rib was delicious. And the Brussels sprouts were very good as well. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying here!

Service was pretty good. Although we had a reservation backed with our credit card, we still waited about fifteen minutes after arriving. The steaks were cooked correctly and were good. The accomodating sides were ok. Given the overall sheer amount of people being served here and the decent prices, i think this place does a great job. I feel like theres a few tweaks that could really amplify the dining. The atmosphere is old world nautical and cozy. The staff was friendly.

Hands down the best meal I've ever eaten in my life! From beginning to end the food was outstanding! Even the bread basket was fantastic! The onion pull apart bread, roasted garlic & homemade butter set the tone for an amazing meal. We started with jumbo shrimp cocktail that were so fresh & had a perfect cocktail sauce to pair. I got the Caesar salad & it was the best Caesar salad I've ever eaten! I'd go back just for that & the onion bread. & I love that it was served in an ice cold dish. The dressing was homemade & had amazing flavor. My husband ordered the Ribeye & I had the filet mignon. Both were cooked exactly the way we ordered them. The outside was crispy & flavorful & the inside was super tender. We also tried the Brussel sprouts. Don't skip those either! Our server was Genesis & he was kind & super accommodating. He had a refill on the table for me before I could even finish or ask for one which I loved! We also loved the hostess who greeted us, I forget her name but she was so sweet & welcoming & we enjoyed talking with her on the way in and out. I can't wait to return to Disney just to come to Yachtsman. Best meal we have ever eaten

We made reservations at the Yachtsman Steakhouse to celebrate our daughter's college graduation, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly when we arrived to check in, and we were promptly escorted to our table. Our server Ken greeted us and brought water for the table and took our drink order. When asked about items on the menu, Ken provided excellent feedback and recommendations. Ken brought a basket of rolls with butter and roasted garlic. Members of our party ordered Caesar salad, French onion soup, and shrimp cocktail as appetizers. All were delicious, and I highly recommend the French onion soup. The entrees and sides came out soon after we finished our appetizers. The steaks were all cooked perfectly to order. Each individual side could easily be split between two or three people, depending on the appetite and the number sides ordered. I would recommend getting two different sides to split. We ordered mushrooms, brussel sprouts, creamed spinach, and truffle fries to split between five guests. The fries were good but would probably be a side for one person. For dessert, we ordered the brulee cheesecake and homemade vanilla ice cream. Ken told us about some cocktails not on the menu. We ordered a Godiva martini poured over a serving of the homemade vanilla ice cream, which was amazing. The dining experience is not inexpensive, but we thought it was well worth it and look forward to celebrating another special occasion there in the future.

Fantastic waiter and meal! You could tell Barry really took pride in his work and this restaurant. We have been to Disney many times but weren’t sure that this restaurant was worth the price given standard Disney dining, which definitely has a lot of great options but the Yachtsman is next-level. The level of detail and care taken from the aged steaks when you walk in the door, to meeting the chef on your way to the table, to the waiters detailed descriptions - the experience was fabulous. Delicious and many house-made items, makes all the difference. The bread service was the best and we ordered the shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque appetizers - perfection. My filet was wonderful and the coq au vin was good but the pasta was a little over-cooked, but chicken was cooked nicely. We ended with the deconstructed brûlée cheesecake which was creative and tasty. Overall a fabulous experience!

I just love the atmosphere here, and every one of their staff was so kind! My compliments to the chef 🤌 Gluten free options are abundant here as well. Ask for Ann when you go - you will not be disappointed!

Food was great. Had the Ribeyes, brussel sprouts, and mushrooms. Also had the Scotch flight. All were great. Our waiter, Amer, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, professional, and funny. He interacted well with our kids, to where they even commented how good he was.

A true white tablecloth experience. Atmosphere is loud, but service is impeccable. Food: divine.

Beautiful decor and atmosphere! Greta for families or couples. We ate here with our kids and they loved the steak. Our waiter, Miguel, was EVERYTHING! He was friendly, accommodating and just simply the best. He made our meal. The steaks were perfect and so tender. The appetizers were delicious. The drinks were perfectly made! I recommend this restaurant.

Went for an anniversary dinner as part of a two- week stay. We both agree it was the best meal we had in Disneyworld. Great location, ambience and service. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Portion sizes are large by European standards and it is pricey as expected. Highly recommended!

Fine dining and 5-Star service. We had a late dinner reservation and had a wonderful view of the boardwalk while the fireworks were going off. We enjoyed the prime porter house steak with two sides. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiter Miguel was very professional and attentive. When our food took a bit long to come out, he gave us a complementary shrimp cocktail. Thank you for the attentiveness and the compliment. Great family atmosphere and beautiful decor. If you are celebrating a birthday or an anniversary, this is a great place to host it.

Really good steakhouse with fantastic service. The bread service, steaks and truffle mac and cheese are stellar. The specialty cocktail and dessert offerings are a bit limited, but that didn’t change our enjoyment level.

Amazing food and server was great, but service was slow.

Our server ken was so friendly & kind. The lobster bisque soup & the French onion were amazing… best lobster bisque I’ve ever had and it’s a big portion! I took half home! The bread is amazing too with the roasted garlic and the special butter they have. The ora salmon was delicious! The special steak with a peppercorn sauce was really good, but the steak at Jiko is still #1. The filet mignon was good too. The Brussel sprouts were very good but the Mac and cheese was just average (small and not amazing for the price you pay) The food runners/bus boys forgot the sauce for the special steak and we had to wait a few minutes to flag someone down and also our waters were never refilled which is odd for such a high end restaurant. I’d come back just for the lobster bisque and the bread.

Great location and super awesome atmosphere. Get there early and enjoy a cocktail in the lounge. The roasted garlic with the bread is fantastic. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, prime rib and mushrooms. Everything was fantastic. The wait staff was super helpful and will definitely be back.

The service is excellent, everyone was very kind to us. We chose not to order appetizers. We ordered a porterhouse and truffle potatoes and toasted mushrooms as a side dish. They also give a bread basket. We ordered three drinks and a dessert to finish. Our bill with tip was $260 for two people. The only bad thing is that the meat needed a little bit of salt.

I would give it 5 stars but the experiences have been up and down. We visit here nearly monthly from NY. It's one of the easiest reservations to get on the MDE app for steakhouses that isn't located in disney springs. You can come here, and either get a really fantastic experience or you can come here and get an okay experience. It's a 50/50. I love their onion bread with the fresh roasted garlic spread. Their french onion soup is my go to for starters. Super rich, savory and indulgent each and everytime!! It's always consistent. Now the for main i always go for the ribeye. It can sometimes be the best steak you can get on all of disney property. But then sometimes, the cut can be mostly fatty. They cook it to your preference perfectly each time though. We think it's great value for the portion sizes and a must visit if you're a meat eater.

The Yacht Club dished up one of the finest cuts of
beef I have ever had. Simply sensational. Sides were typical USA over done, but I'll forgive them because after the rib eye, I desired little else. The others in our party also thoroughly enjoyed their meals including the lobster, chicken and steak..... big smiles all round..

Excellent experience here. The interior of the restaurant is wonderful. The window showing the aged meats is a great touch. The food and service and cocktails were also great. Would definitely go back.

We picked Yachtsman for my husband's 40th birthday dinner. From the time we checked in to paying the check, it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our server Bill was right on point. He didn't hover over us but kept and eye on us and came as needed. After looking at the menu we decides to pass on appetizers and just go for diner. The rolls with butter and roasted garlic were a great start. We both ordered the 8 oz filet medium with gratin potatoes. The steaks were cooked to just the right temperature and were tender and juicy. The gratin potatoes were served in pipping hot ramekins and had just enough cheese to not be overpowering. Our sides were the Brentwood Cornbread and Truffle Mac and Cheese. I can't say enough about the cornbread. While it was nothing like we were expecting, it's now my favorite thing on property. Full of large pieces of crab and so buttery. The truffle mac was also delicious. While I try to eat at different restaurants every time we go to Disney, this is on the mist do again list!!

Everything about this meal was perfect! Everything from the rolls with real butter and roasted garlic to the crime brûlée was amazing!! My wife started with the lobster bisque which I tasted and it was amazing. I had the NY Prime steak and that was by far the best steak I've ever had. My wife got the 28oz Porterhouse and just like me she said it was the best steak she's ever had. She's been to Le Cellier at Epcot and she says this blows them away! We both ended with crime brûlée and again it was perfect! Our server Yun was one of the best if not best servers we have ever had! If you are on vacation here save this for last because there will be no topping this meal!!

Surprisingly good. With even the Disney "signature" dining experiences becoming increasingly more uniform this was a pleasant surprise. Excellent service, a great steak and good wine combined to make this a good night.

So worth the wait. The Yacht Club Hotel is rumored to be former Disney chief, Michael Eisner's favorite resort hotel - the one where he and his family most often stay. Its easy to see why.
The Yachtsman Steakhouse is seriously amazing. Its a little dressy, and after a long, hot day touring the parks not everyone in my party wanted to get showered and dressed up for dinner - ok, I didnt wanna do that- but my friend dragged me there and it is well worth the trouble.
They say the Sea Bass is a specialty, but if you want seafood I recommend coral Reef in Epcot, or Flying Fish Cafe on the boardwalk. The Yachtsman is a steak house and you would be remiss to order anything but. All of the steaks are cut on site. The fries are sikk (scrumptious) and fresh cut. Ask for malt vinegar. The view of the lagoon and boardwalk is breathtaking. We didnt have reservations but got seated because we got there right as they opened the doors at 5:30pm

- Arik Katzenberg

You really need to eat here. All we can say is wow.
We ate here while staying at the resort and I would strongly suggest you not pass up this experience. Every single thing was perfect.
Started with the cheese platter then the Charcuterie Board, staggeringly delish with an excellent wine selection.
Best steak I've had in a very long time. Sided with truffle/mac and carmelized onions.
Impeccable service.

Dont walk, Run
Jonathan
The best steak. Great steak, great bread and nice service with a plenty of places to walk after dinner.

Very impressed. Service top notch, able to talk to the chef about menu prior to ordering. Recommend soft shell crab with pumpkin crust and the gratin potatoes!!

Best Service and Steak In Orlando. Last time we went, we had probably one of the top 3 servers of any Disney restaurant I've ever dined at. He was great. We sat for 4 hours, drank, laughed with him, ate delicious food, and overall he made our experience magical as they say in Disney lingo...

Best steak in Orlando since I got here 2 years ago.

A very nice experience. The 24 oz Porterhouse was tender and delicious. The stone bass with shrimp was also very good. Very nice atmosphere, and good service. Two dining credits if using Disney meal plan. You won't go wrong here.

Aged Colorado beef, great soups, breads and a very nice wine selection.
Tara
Average at best. Far better steak/food to be found on Disney property--go to Shula's or Jiko instead!
Steve Mills
Very good. These guys can cook steaks and other meats just like the best steakhouses in town. The prices are slightly better than that of Ruths Chris and Kres, but there are lots of families and children running around as you are in the Disney resort area. Good for going with the family but not if you are looking for some time away from little ones making a lot of noise.

Scrumptious Steaks and Scallops!. Love the bacon wrapped scallops for appetizers and the boneless ribeye I had was just melt in your mouth tender!
Diana
Exceptional Steaks. This is truley an exceptional steakhouse. Everything was excellent . The steaks are aged to perfection. The staff had full knowledge of everything on the menu including making suggestions for the perfect paring of wines with the meal. The desserts were very good but should be shared as they are large servings.

Having enjoyed Day 1 at Disney we went to the Yachtsman Steakhouse at night, a Disneyworld resort restaurant. Diva #1 started her meal with the lobster bisque, which we were told was the house speciality. Flavourful, thick and creamy but with chunks of lobster, we soon learnt why this was a popular option. It was quite interestingly served with a crisped baguette slice and roe Chantilly. Diva #1’s Aunty had the Caesar salad which was served with huge leaves of lettuce; you actually had to cut the romaine yourself. Aunty loved this rustic presentation but Uncle wondered why he had to cut his own salad, grumble, grumble. This salad was not simply a Caesar salad; it was served with some coppa secca, a type of Italian capicola. A lovely traditional twist to a classic salad

As you enter the restaurant, the beef display and the open kitchen put your senses into full swing, and your stomach begins to lose its patience.

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is located in the Yacht Club Resort at Disney World, Florida. They are an up-scale restaurant which require reservations (most of the time.)
