Alfano's

I went here for a late dinner. It wasn't crowded. The pizza was excellent. The crust was cooked just right. There were just the right amount of toppings. The sausage had amazing flavor. I also enjoyed the sauce, it had just the right amount of sweetness. Forgive me I didn't get her name, but she was running the dining room like a champ. The dining room was that home town feel in a good way. Everything was clean and in good condition. They take care of the restaurant. I will continue to go here when I'm in the area. Bicycling: The roads near here would be fine for riding. I didn't notice any area to lock the bicycles up. Also, it would have been nice if they had outdoor seating.

The family surprised me with a drive to Oregon, from Rockford, to eat dinner for Father's Day. This place is great. Food is always good. Stuffed pizza, my favorite, Chicken Parmigiano, Chicken Alfredo and even the beer nuggets are amazing. Never disappointed when I go there. Suzie, Tony, Joey, Sal and everyone else I missed, thank you for always doing a great job.

Ordered a chicken salad with vinegar and oil. Got the salad and was then told they were out of Vinegar. My wife and I then ordered a couple of glasses of Moscato and noticed the pours were ridiculously low to be considered a glass. Ordered 2 more at an even smaller pour and was then charged for the bottle. I drink often and understand what a pour should be... we paid basically $20 for 2 good glasses of wine. I quickly remembered why we hadn't been there in 10 years and don't plan on returning anytime soon.
