The food is spectacular. The environment is soothing. The presentation is on point. Well worth the trip no matter where you are from.
Awesome place. We’ve driven by for years not really know what was here but several people recently told us to come check it out. Totally impressed and Ronnie is running a really great sushi joint!!
Experience was great. I sat at the sushi bar and was greeted by the server and the sushi chef. I ended up there between 5 and 5:15. They had a happy hour so I got the sabe tequila which reminded me of Clase Azul Blanco premium Tequila.
The Hildebrand roll was really good. It's just hard to eat because it was so big. I ended up eating the tops then the rolls. The soft shell crab is battered in their house, scratch made, tempura batter. Super crispy!!! Made me think of freshly refried cornflakes or potato chips, gave the roll a nice crunch.
The Miso soup was nice, it had shredded nori and a good amount of green onion on/in it.
The Mango icecream seemed yogurt based to me. The flavor was good but I personally prefer less yogurt flavor. I look forward to trying the black sesame ice cream.
I look forward to trying the sushi/sashimi plates.
Just wish they had more specialty gluten free options for rolls and I will plan to bring my tamari from home. Luckily, I had my gluten enzyme tablets with me.
Even with all the craziness of Covid we were so pleased to enjoy sushi here while eating outside. The sushi was fresh the service was great. If you make it out to Niya you have to start with the garlic Edamame with a little spice, you won’t be sorry. My hubby had the tuna and salmon sushi which was great, I had the spicy tune with avocado... yummm. Also a must, if you like saki try their tequila saki, you won’t be disappointed
This was our first visit and the service was outstanding and very personable. The food was great, but we did not have any sushi. We had the teriyaki steak and chicken which was very tasty. We also had the Japanese Saviche and it was really delicious. It would be great to have this dish in the summer! Had just the right amount of fish and avacado with flavor. It will definitely be our staple appetizer from now on! Highly recommend place to stop by while in Old Orcutt.
Very friendly! Made us feel at home. We had the hot sake to start off, then the Abby roll, red dragon roll, niya rainbow roll, spider roll... Excellent! The Abby roll is our new favorite. Then we topped it off with a tempura green tea I've cream. Great! There was nothing bad we could say. Definitely coming back.
Always super fresh sushi! Never had a bad plate over the past 2 years. Service is incredibly friendly and open to any questions about the food and fish. They truly care you are there. Also, they are open with COVID restrictions. Try their amazing happy hour deals. My wife and I go on dates here a lot and we absolutely love it!
This place has great sushi! I would recommend the Mario Cart. If you have never had sushi they also have more simple rolls.
Best Sushi in town, California rolls legit, highly recommend and The pork belly ramen is absolutely amazing!! Atmosphere is always pleasant and the staff is always helpful
Niya has a great atmosphere- I love getting the table by the fish tank. Since their re-opening the service seems to be trying to find its groove, but the food. Oh snap. I love getting the salmon belly sashimi when they have it on special. This is my absolute favorite sushi place in the area. They have excellent appetizers and fun fusion mix ups you won't find at every sushi restaurant.
