Captain D's

Definitely WAS a favorite for beer battered fish - when it's done right. Not sure what is going on here but the batter was abnormally dry and not beer battered at all. Service and cleanliness is quite sketchy! Cashier touching mouth then debit card and scratching her scalp then the bag.....its still pandemic. Meal was incomplete - no hush puppies nor the extra ones paid for, no condiments at all, no napkins, no sodas available. I don't know why I took & attempted to eat this meal.

You know what I miss about living in the north? Having Captain D's. My sister wanted to cook for me but I have been wanting some Captain D's for over 2 and 1/2 years and I was not disappointed. Everything was hot and delicious. I may have to move back to South Carolina just so I can have this a little more often.

Well I don't know where to start exactly but I guess we'll start from the beginning: pulled up and parked and come to find out I'm guessing no inside service and of course the line was almost out the parking lot. Ordered the new spicy fish and shrimp which was a little spicy but definitely overcooked, the fries had no salt on them, but the fried okra was spot on. Second order was the lobster rolls which was actually had really really good flavor, not exactly sure if it was actually lobster tho.

I love going to Captain D's to sit down and eat inside the past couple of months they have been slack with the dining room area being open saying that they are short on staff that shouldn't matter at all if a person wants to sit down and eat their meal they should be able to do so it's not like they have to come and be a waitress to a person the person has to fix their own drinks they just need a seat and also it was a tall slim white manager there when he was there everything ran smooth I don't see him anymore and everything seems to be slack even with the food as well baked potatoes are overly cooked One day me and my friend went in there to eat and the girl that brought our food told us the fish was the opposite of what it was so we end up eating each other's fish and they had to remake it because I knew something wasn't right with the one I was eating and the way it looked as well but I went with what the worker said they did recook the fish to give us but I was already full from eating and drinking The other items of the meal when I had got the fish I just had to take it home. I hope at Captain D's opens up the inside and stays open

Worst experience ever. Even in the midst of the pandemic it was not this bad. Advertising says opens 10 30. I stood out and waited until 11 07 when someone finally motioned to me to give them a call. I did and asked what time they opened. They said we open know. I asked if they were doing dine in. They said not today. So I proceeded to do drive thru. I did and decided to go to The Rose Gardens and have my early lunch. I opened my bag and they did not put my dessert in the bag. So I had to close up everything and go back by the drive thru and let them know what happened. Drive thru had a long line. By the time I did eat everything was barely warm. Hope I never experience this again. But the waiter graciously apologized. I go about once or twice a month.
