Fatz

Well, the food was good, and the waitress started out well. But when the food arrived, we could not get any silverware. We asked 3 times as our food got colder by the minute. I finally had to stand up to look for our waitress to ask again. At which point she said the other person was supposed to bring us some. So overall, 5 for the food 2 for the lack of follow-up for the silverware.

A most enjoyable lunch! Their Calabash Chicken is very tasty. And that basket of bread that they put on the table once you're seated is delicious! They have the taste & consistency of donuts, and the honey butter makes them taste even better. The hostess & servers were all fantastic! They were all polite, customer-oriented, friendly, & clearly working fast. Our server, Linda, was particularly good. She was very attentive, friendly, & polite. We never had to ask for drink refills...she was there before we needed anything. The restrooms, however, did need some attention. But, in all fairness, we were there around 2pm on a Sunday, after a whole slew of people just had lunch there. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

Nice, casual southern fried food. Fried Green tomatoes with grits were the highlight for me! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the mash and green beans were like momma's home cooking... It wasn't very busy, but things were slow coming out...food was delicious and worth it for the price, especially of you aren't in a hurry. I would come back if we are driving by again...

Was visiting from Texas and asked the hotel manager where a “good” place to eat was. They recommended Fatz. The service was okay but could have been better. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and my god was it awful! The chicken had no flavor at all, the gravy had a very concerning color to it (yellowish) the mashed potatoes were way too wet and the Mac n cheese was obviously old. After a couple of bites I asked for the ticket and left. The cheese fries were great though so that’s what I’m having for dinner

A tour guide recommended we go here as we were passing through South Carolina. Good "American" food had the homemade chicken tenders and a wrap. Both were good with Tots. Ordered it online on a Thursday night and it took an hour to go pick up. Once I arrived no one was waiting but the waitress was on the phone for a good 15 minutes before helping me. That is all I could complain was a good place to eat.

Stopped while on our way up north. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I ordered a burger and my dining companion ordered grilled chicken. The food was hot. My burger was good, but average, and his chicken was dry and a little crispy. From the long line coming in as we were leaving, others think the food is worth waiting for.
