Chestnut Grill

Passing through, thought we would try due to reviews. I had crab cakes, broccoli with cheese and potato salad. Food was warm at best which was fine coz we were starving. I didn't care for the potato salad as it seemed like it was pureed and had dill in it. It was the dill I didn't like. My friend had pork chops, broccoli with cheese and a baked potato. She thought the pork chops were good, a little peppery with a raspberry glaze. The only drawback to sitting outside was the number of flies that kept annoying us.

The staff was amazing and definitely have no complaints there but when it comes to the food I was reminded on why I quit coming here to eat. If you want to enjoy some seafood here definitely pass up on this location. You'd be better off saving money and going to Captain D's because the quality of food would more than likely be twice as good. I figured that since I haven't been there in a few years it might have become a good place to eat but of course it hasn't.

Amazing steaks and an overall great experience we had with our lunch. Our lunch had a Sirloin and a Ribeye and both the pieces were medium well done as per our liking and was delicious. The staff was very warm as well. They offered us an complimentary desert that is the cheesecake which was simply amazing. DO VISIT and enjoy your steaks here...

I ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant sandwich and, like their website shows, it really was the BEST! It was really very, very good!! The sandwich was perfectly portioned - meaning you're not still hungry and needing to buy a second lunch after eating. I placed my order online and it was ready when they said it would be. It was bagged and ready at the front when I arrived. No errors. Service was super friendly and with a genuine smile - which is hard to come by in Orangeburg. I will definitely be visiting again.

Fantastic, upper tiered dining in Orangeburg. Restaurant was clean and nicely maintained, but casual. The food was all amazing with hearty portions. The fried shrimp were perfectly seasoned and breaded, and the steaks were flavorful, tender, and cooked as requested. The desserts looked wonderful, but we were sadly too full to get any!
