Five Guys

I went here to have burgers and fries for lunch. I was very satisfied with the food at the price which was a good price but not cheap. The burgers were quite interesting: thin and grilled/fried to the surface was crispy, but inside was juicy and not dry. Fries were homemade type but quite good. All of this is positive. The ambiance is super basic: think basic tables made of wood, simple interior, basic chairs, no decor, etc. This is a place to and eat food not to have a dining experience in any sense of the word.

Always reliable and consistent, hot, fresh burgers and fries. This one is in the Home Depot plaza and has an easy parking lot. The place is clean and bright, and the bar height tables and chairs by the windows get tons of late day sunshine. Great, cheerful staff, and, as usual, no problem for me with ordering gluten free (lettuce wrap). I have celiac disease, so for me and my guy to both be able to order with no issues is always great. Just tell them you have an allergy when ordering, and that's their cue to change gloves and handle separately. The fries are the only thing that goes in the fryer so it's a rare place where I can eat the fries, and they are just the best steak fries on the planet. The leftovers also reheat really well in the air fryer or toaster oven. No, the food isn't cheap, but it's totally worth it and we always leave happy, full, and with a bag of fries to take home and enjoy later.

Their food is good anyway, little burger big flavor BUT the Team is very friendly and they were very amenable to my fry request (less done fries) for someone very picky and assured us a great meal because of it!!! Thanks!!!! great set up watching the food being made VERY clean restaurant with a lot of room to sit down. I actually like this location better than branford all food being the same there is a lot more room!!

Super long drive to get here. Please consider branching out Old Saybrook/New London area. Walked in and ordered take out. They either call out a name or a number. Numbers being called out are for those who order in person and wait for there orders. Names being called out are online filled orders. They called out my name —which I thought was probably pulled up by my credit card. Anyway grabbed the bag and almost left when I realized the bag was to big and heavy to be for what I ordered. Turned out I grabbed someone else’s bag. Got her extra napkins and ketchup. —your welcome. Burgers, Hot Dogs, Grilled Cheese, Fries.. really can’t go wrong with whatever your in the mood for. They don’t offer gluten free buns or rolls. But they do the lettuce wrap. Friendly staff. Thank you!

writing this review because im sick of lazy and braindead workers. one incident, ordered online to show up on time and wait 30 mins in my car, decided to get out and ask for my order inside then proceeded to wait another 15min to get my food. another incident, i walk inside order a BACON CHEESEBURGER, she asked " what do you want on it? " i said "just lettuce"... i didnt think they would take it so literal like a little 5 year old. like come on man how hard is it to flip some burgers, and deep fry french fries???? some braindeads.
