Love this place. It's rustic. Built inside an old railroad warehouse. Aged plank flooring, outside dining and a second floor balcony for those cool afternoons and evenings. The food is good. Shepherds Pie is one of their best dishes. They have a fully stocked bar. Cold beer on tap. Service is great and prices are reasonable. Get there early, place fills up fast.
This past Thursday night a few family/friends visited Irish Bred Pub in Opelika to celebrate my daughter's 4th birthday. It has been a couple years since I last visited. The whole staff's warming attitude was very welcoming . We especially enjoyed our server, Evan. He was outstanding... extremely hospitable and attentive.
To start off our meal, we enjoyed my all time favorite appetizer, Maytag chips (homemade chips covered in bleu cheese and bacon)! This app will even change a bleu cheese "hater's" mind!! Our Party enjoyed burgers for the main meal. Each one was cooked to temp as requested and just juicy, juicy!! Yum!!
Also, during our dinner i overheard the excitement from locals about Brunch being served starting Sunday from 10am -3pm. Apparently, Brunch is a big deal in Opelika! Hopefully, my friend and i can make it back this Sunday. In conclusion, the IBP was a staple Irish establishment that the whole family can enjoy. I was very impressed.
The food & staff were amazing. This will definitely be my go to place for treating myself. I had the salmon with carrots & asparagus as well as 3 different locally brewed fruit lagers🍺 & the Godiva chocolate cheesecake as recommended by my sever Nat. I greatly appreciated his hands off approach until assistance was requested & was 100% ready to answer questions or make recommendations. Definitely looking forward to bringing my guests here instead of cooking for them at home.
Hands down one of the best atmospheres in the Auburn area. The food was amazing (get the fish and chips - you won't regret it) and our interactions with the staff were polite and even friendly. A hidden gem in the O-A area.

We tried this spot back in 2019 (pre COVID) and didn’t have a great experience actually it was terrible…so we haven’t been back till now. 🥴
Outstanding! From the food to the service, this is definitely one of my favorite places to go, eat and chill in Opelika. Grab a spot at the bar and ask for my friend Jenny! She is the best! I absolutely recommend the Scotch Eggs and Ruben Egg Rolls - so yummy - kick that back with an old fashioned and boom... you welcome!
The food is delicious. We all split everything we each got. The fish and chips was my choice and i was not disappointed at all. So good and crispy. The fries were delicious as was the chicken tenders. The side of grits we got hit the spot. Can’t forget the Mac and cheese. So creamy and delicious. Will for sure be back when I’m in the area again.
Food was quite tasty. Server was very nice. We had a very fun time. Next time we should get there earlier as we got there around 6 and there was an hour wait for a table.
Fantastic Pub! We had a couple properly poured Guinness with an amazing appetizer of home made chips loaded with an incredible amount of blue cheese and bacon. It was delicious, I can't wait to go back and try more on the menu.
The food was fantastic but the service was terribly slow. At least our server was friendly. I feel that it does not warrant a star deduction but beware if you just plan to grab a quick bite.
