Syl's Cafe food is fantastic! My boyfriend and I always get their pot roast skillet. The meal is large enough for two! I have had their pancakes too which are huge! I enjoy their pasties as well <3 Every time I go up to the cabin , Syls is a must have! Service is always great too, everyone is so cheerful and kind. Thanks Syls !

Fantastic food! We had the breakfast platter, pepperoni pizza, pasty and the pretzel chicken sandwich. Every one of us were simply delighted with our choices. We had our eyes set on having a slice of homemade pie or the brownie topped with ice cream & drizzled with caramel, but the portions were too big to allow space! Service was friendly and prompt.

Loved our experience at Syl’s. Caught a last minute dinner prior to closing for our first visit. Atmosphere was so pleasant and inviting with such an “updated feeling” inside that we went back for breakfast. Fresh goodies in the bakery counter topped is off and gave fattening fuel for later on our rock hunting excursions.

Kathy and her crew catered breakfast, lunch and dinner for our group of 150 this month and the food was amazing! While in town for 3 days, my husband ate at Syls for breakfast and dinner each day. He highly recommends their beef pot roast skillet for breakfast, cheesesteak sandwich, pizza and their pasty! Oh and their carrot cake was out of this world!

This was my first visit to Ontonagon, and I am very grateful I found this restaurant. Food was delicious and the restaurant had a friendly atmosphere. The haddock was cooked to perfection, and the peanut butter landslide gave me a happy hangover. I will be back!!

Wow !!! Just the place we look for when traveling , the place where the locals eat . What awesome food and nostalgic little cafe ! We loved our food and also they have donuts , rolls , cakes and more Don't pass up and don't forget your pasty ...with or without gravy is awesome ( we added a little ketchup and it was superb) We were told along the way this is the BEST place to get a pasty , and we have to agree . We tried the mini one and shared it , the regular ones are HUGE !!! So fun in such a tiny town

We have a fabulous Cafe where we are from, but Syl's wins in a landslide. Everything at Syl's is homemade and amazing! There is so much variety in the menu, from breakfast all day, to pizza, burgers, pies, baked goods, and an awesome pasty! I don't know how they can offer such an extensive menu, and still make everything there. Our server the first visit (twice in 3 days) was simply amazing, cheerful, helpful, and very competent. I felt like I was eating at my grandma's home. We live 400+miles away, but I might be tempted to make a special trip to visit again. Don't miss this place!

Very friendly service. Love the pictures hanging up from local artists (pics are for sale as well) and the cozy feel of the place. It was only 19 degrees outside, but nice and warm inside. The doughnuts were fresh and the turtle cheesecake was amazing... it was different because it had a fudge layer over the bottom crust, covered by creamy cheesecake, and topped with caramel and pecans. Topped it off with hot cocoa.

We had the Wisconsin cheese soup which was phenomenal! We shared it because it was a big helping. We also got a pizza which was good as well. Highly recommend this place. Great food and great service!

Had dinner and breakfast that this locally owned place downtown. Dinner experienced a massive rush, so we got on the list, walked around town then seated immediately upon return. Both ordered Fish and chips. Considering the sudden rush service was great. Staff was busy and polite. Breakfast was omelets and toast. Loved the cinnamon bread! Both meals were great portions for the price, which we thought was cheap. Again, great staff. Will return when back in town. Daily specials looked very good.
