Kanpai

The interesting thing about a restaurant like this is the clientele’s frequent nose up attitudes. You read the reviews and the expectations set are so high you’d think the diners expect a Michelin experience. The food is unique & delicious plus the prices are great. Yes, the service is spread a little thin but still adequate. If you’d like the price to match the quality of food and have one server per 2 tables…fork over double the money per plate, otherwise I’d say this restaurant is great and we always look forward to eating at Kanpai again when we are in Ontario. In fact this review is here because I was confirming the hours so we can meet friends there tonight. Try it, you’ll enjoy the meal and hopefully the company of your dinner companions.

I ordered a box combo, of California roll, shrimp and scallops. When it arrived it was indeed inside of a box. The surprise was seeing battered, deep-fried shrimp and scallops. The scallops were cold to boot. Our waitress on the other hand was above and beyond awesome. She fixed the issue before we left the restaurant.

First time at the restaurant last night. My friends had sushi I had a hamburger. Everything was good until this morning at 2 am. Can't keep anything down went to doctors and was told I have food poisoning. This was the only thing I eat since that morning which was only a bowl of cereal. Don't think I will be going back.
