Vegan Burrito available at this eclectic gem!
I was so excited that Shang-Hai Gardens can make a vegan burrito upon request!!!
The very fluent in English host was SO FRIENDLY. He quickly verified the flour tortillas they use contain vegetable shortening NOT lard. I explained that I wanted a bean burrito with all of the plants that they have (lettuce, onion, tomato), NO cheese, NO sour cream.
So they made me a vegan burrito, and were happy to do so!!! It was a VERY nice size, GREAT value for the money! Great taste, too! It may be my new favorite vegan burrito spot!
Restaurant is right next door to a Dollar Tree in a strip mall and also serves Chinese food but it appeared most orders were for their Mexican menu. Lots of room for seating, the tables are not jammed together. Lots of parking out front. I’ll be back!
Well not a 100% chines 60%mexican 40%chines food. The owners are not chines or asian just probably they worked in chines restaurants when their were young they are hispanic and sale mexican and chines food';.ok am a costumer for years there and yea chines food from them is not the supreme but some dishes I like;-like mongolian ,curry beef,well the beef menu itis ok ,but chicken and shrimp not big fun.,the other thing and I think it keeps this place open it's their mexican dishes the tacos ,tortas,carne asada,pork in green sauce etc,.the flavor they put in the meet is mmm yammi ,.,.,other thing if you are so demanding well dont expect a super service o super fine restaurant.but try the mexican food menu.
If this restaraunt is still open its because they must be doing something right!
Dont listen to the bottom guy!!. The food is actually good here. Try the combination friend ried. some people just are to picky and dont know what good food actually is. =D
Great place to eat at they have a variety of food and drinks to choose from. Staff are very kind and understanding. The food is so good just so many flavors and I really love their Mexican food. They even do food trays for party’s and their sauces are good too they arnt watered down. It’s also very cheap so if you have a big family this is a place where you won’t spend as much money as you would think.It does get packed on the weekends so I recommend going during the week.
What a fusion! If the idea of ordering a fat burrito alongside general tso's chicken sounds even remotely interesting, you've come to the right place! And surprisingly, it's really good! Double surprisingly, it's pretty inexpensive! I found this little place a couple years ago and I'm proud to say I've got all my work buddies to join me in my fusion crusade. Can't wait to go back.
I love this place. I have been eating here for years. Their tacos are bomb! They have the best mexican food. I have never ordered Chinese from here but I stop and get the Azada burritos and tacos at least once a week.
To say it was great would be an understatement. Several people recommended that I try it out. I have never been to an Asian/Mexican combo restaurant, not disappointed. The al pastor tacos were awesome. The egg drop soup was on point, the tostada amazing. I ate all of that plus an egg roll and a sangria for under $10.
Great places for tacos or quick bite. Have been going there for years very family friendly environment.
So you walk up to the counter and order your General Tso's. What's the perfect pairing? That's right, a tall styrofoam cup of horchata.
You take your delicious drink to your table. A nice lady brings out complimentary chips and salsa.
You achieve inner peace.
Their Mexican food was delicious! Their salsa is not watered down like most places, so it has great flavor! I did order an eggroll and potsticker. Not a big fan. Potstickers were hard.
But their Mexican food was a plus.
This place is my neighborhood go to spot when I need a quick bite or want to feed the family something tasty, fast, and cheap. The mexican food is simple and freshly prepared. The meat's are all cooked in house from whole ingredients, nothing processed or frozen here. The chinese side is just ok but will do in a pinch. The best thing here are the taco's. Cheap and excellent, bulging with meat and toppings. The place is family run, dad's cooking and mom and daughters are out front, and yeah its nothing spectacular but they remember you. If you want fancy go somewhere else, but if you want fantastic homemade style mexican cheaper than anywhere else in town, this is the place for you.
Our number 1 go to for Mexican food. So fun to have Crab Rangoon and Fajitas. Establishment is no frills but super sweet staff.
Good Mexican and Chinese food, they have Mexican beer on bottle as well. Prices are reasonable.
