El Catrin Restaurant

Arrived at 1200 sat ourselves at the well spaced tables(covid) the waitress quickly arrived. It was a bit difficult to hear the waitress in a mask. The food was very good, fresh, hot and nicely spicy. The food came within 15mins and was well presented. The combination plates seemed to be for more than person. Pay cash only at the register, lots of parking out back. I will be coming back.

I really like the rotisserie chicken & beans! Very delicious. My one complaint is that they are cash only. They do have an ATM but it wasn't working when we went in so then we had to leave, find an ATM & come back. If we hadn't been ordering for the entire family, we probably would've gone somewhere else.

This is the best chicken the sauces make it better and the place is nice it’s pretty large and I have never tasted it and it being cold there are people saying their chicken was frozen but my brother’s friend works there and she said they don’t have frozen chicken so I don’t know why people are saying it was frozen and heated because it’s not.

It was delicious especially the chicken and ceviche these people that are rating it bad don’t know what they are talking about I went there with my wife and kids and we were attended immediately with chips salsas and menus and when we order they came back with the food in 3 minutes despite the place being packed I Have gone here ever since and I can definitely say probably one of the best restaurants in Omaha

El Catrin is a fantastic restaurant! Their homemade salsa is the best in the city in my humble opinion, pure bliss. Everything Chicken that you order here is top notch, you can expect that. My favorites are the chicken tacos with seasoned meat, onions, cilantro, and a lime wedge, QUE RICO! Everything I have ever eaten here has been spectacular. I lived in south Texas for over 4 years and I know good Mexican food when I eat it. El Catrin is better than the best Mexican food I ever ate in Mexico or Texas. About the only knock is that I have heard that the late night dance crowd gets a little rowdy and wild from time to time. But, as far as the food goes, I think it is the best Mexican food in Omaha bar none. If you know of any better Mexican food, then please let me know....
