Rice Bowl Chinese Restaurant

If you want old school American Chinese food, freshly prepared quickly and well this is the place. I'm grading on a bit of a curve here, this is more like 4 stars in California, but for Omaha where there's a lot of bad Chinese food, Rice Bowl really stands out. The egg fu yung was some of the best I've had and the gravy was THE best. General's chicken very good. And I don't know why Nebraska is obsessed with Crab Rangoon, but we couldn't stop eating them, even when we were way too full. This will be our go-to takeout from now on. No real reason to dine-in as it's a counter-service with no frills, although the staff are very fast and nice.

The food is always hot, the service is fast, I never have leftovers. Also with a few upgrades to your rice and an appetizer you can feed two people food with real meat and veggies for less than two meals at a fast food place. Just got to know how to order or catch the waiters that know all the tricks!!

Let’s keep it simple The Rice Bowl still stands as a one of the kings of Chinese cuisine for a reason. They still do things old school, the recipes, the sauces, the appetizers - made from recipes customers have loved for years. These recipes were made with the intention to be the best and the menu seems to grow even with over 50 main dishes on the menu! Peanut butter chicken lovers, I see you, I am you, that’s my favorite recommendation!

I have driven past this place for years and never thought to stop. Today my husband and I decided to try it. It was FANTASTIC! The staff was super friendly the moment we walked in and the food was delicious. The tables were clean and other customers friendly. We plan to come back again! My hubby enjoyed the chicken with vegetables and I the egg foo young. We also had the wonton soup and hot and sour soup. Everything was 5/5 ☆

We picked up Rice Bowl for Friday night dinner and it was phenomenal. Literally the greatest meal I’ve had in a long time. I got the combination fried rice at a spicy level and it was the best fried rice I’ve ever had. The perfect spice level. It comes with two crab rangoons and I ordered an egg roll, which were also great. I tried a bite of the sweet and sour chicken as well and it was delicious. If you like hot mustard, be careful, theirs is extremely hot. I can’t wait to go back and dine in for a lunch!
