Food was great, as was the value. We were able to get a table right away, but the place stayed packed the whole time we were there. There were people waiting when we left, too. I would plan for a short wait. Also, the place is cash only, but they do have an ATM available. Lots of selections for traditional American breakfast. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Cash only, so be aware of that before you go. When I ask for an egg over medium most places either just cook it over easy, or over cook it. This placed cooked it over medium, just as I asked. Really impressed they're one of the last few places who knows how to make a good breakfast!

This feels like a small town diner with kind staff who know you by name. Down home cooking, food is wonderful and servings are huge. Try the hashbrown casserole and blueberry pancakes, delicious! We are so glad we found this little diamond in the rough!

One of the best breakfast places I've found in Omaha. Nothing fancy. The usual fare: eggs, griddle items, biscuits & gravy, meats. All done as you ordered and served in just a few minutes.
Reasonable prices, good food and good service. You can't really ask for more.
Get there early, it isn't very large and it seems to have some loyal patrons who eat there regularly.

Today was my first time eating her and it was great! The waitresses were so friendly and the food was pretty good. They were so kind to me and my daughter and seemed like they genuinely like their job! Nice work!

I had walked in right as they were about to close and walked out when the waitress ran out to catch me and told me to still come on in so they could serve me. And not just to go they had me sit down they all seemed to talk to everyone and not just like waiter talk they genuinely seemed to care. I can honestly say the food was good, but this was easily the best customer service I've ever received anywhere. They didn't rush me out because they were closing they really seemed just to be the happiest cheerful people from the cooks and waiting staff. I know 5 stars is the highest you can give but they deserve them all. I seriously recommend to everyone this was my first time there and I'll definitely be back.

AJ’s Cafe is the epitome of a classic American breakfast. We ordered a “AJ’s cafe classic with chicken fried steak” and a “build your own combo with one biscuit and gravy with hashbrowns”.
The service was great, food came out quick, and the food itself was well seasoned and delicious. Even the steak in the chicken fried steak was seasoned nicely. The biscuit seemed like it had been “seared” while it was baked and had a nice crisp to it like I’ve never had before.
The atmosphere at the restaurant is also a highlight. Though it was bit small, it felt very homey and cozy. The prices were amazing considering the amount and quality of food.
I will 100% be returning here for my breakfast fix.

We just found a new favorite breakfast place! Staff is friendly and fast on their feet. Personal attention. We had the menu in moments, one also posted next to our table and the specials explained without asking. Comfy and clean. Bonus for my crunchy friends: they clean tables with Thieves so no wafting of Clorox. Amazing smells and the food was plentiful! The prices were great-comparable to other cafes and more reasonable than the chain breakfast places in town.
