Review Tokyo Sushi - Omaha

I would definitely come back here. Food was really good. Only challenge I ran into was that the server didn't speak much English, but other than that it was nice place

There was a 20 minute wait for a table but I expected that because I had googled the busy times before we went. We had a good time. It's an amazing price for their all-you-can-eat lunch special. We'll definitely be visiting again.

Took my kids to this all you can eat sushi and we left satisfied. You get decent sushi for a decent prize. The staff although attentive were a bit distance

We tried the ‘All you can eat’ dinner at Tokyo Sushi. The sushi was really good but couple of things we would like to share: 1. All you can eat dinner only lets you get 4 sushi rolls/person. We requested the waitress to bring eight rolls but she said that you should start with 7 and brought only 7 without confirming with us. 7 rolls were more than enough but she decided to choose which 7 out of 8 to bring by herself which was awkward. 2. The order took more time to prepare than it usually takes at other sushi restaurants. 3. The shrimp tempura wasn’t fried properly and could have stayed in the fryer for few more seconds/minutes. 4. Ambience is not too great. Again the sushi itself was really good but there is room for improvement for above mentioned things.

When we got there Friday at 6:25pm, a few tables had people eating. By 6:45pm, the restaurant was mostly full. Staff was polite, helpful, and attentive. We did all you can eat and ordered 4 different times to be sure not to get ahead of ourselves. Our 12 year old man child enjoyed it the most. The rolls were not tight, so some fell apart while eating due to the rice being a bit off. It wasn't as cold and sticky as typical sushi rice, but I'm guessing that was due to the volume of orders. Not a big deal. Sashimi hit the spot.

The food was delicious - especially considering it's an all you can eat sushi we did. We only ordered one round with starters on it as well. We enjoyed all the sushi we ordered, no complaints there... I just wish they would've checked to see if I needed a refill on my drink... Uhm, ever. That said, everyone was very busy as we were there for a late lunch so I can't fault them too much. (I took a pic after my friend snuck a couple pieces....)

This is a pretty good spot to get into in the old market, when the usual places are full. Good sushi, for a good price in one of the most popular places in the city. It seems to be a bit under the radar compared to the places in the area, but if you haven’t tried Tokyo yet, you’re missing out. We got a table of 4 in, with no wait, at prime dinner time on Berkshire weekend. The host/manager who sat us did a wonderful job explaining how everything worked, since none of us had ever considered all you can eat sushi. But for $25 a person? It’s at least worth a try, and it was. Sure, I don’t think it is really close to the best sushi I’ve ever had, but you simply cannot beat it in an all you can eat setting. Tokyos hand rolls also hold a special place in my heart; like really, how am I going to say no to normal sushi wrapped up into a big sea weed cone instead of a normal shaped roll? Everything else just feels boring now in comparison… One last thing, I ordered the spicy tuna pizza off of the rolls category(pictured), not knowing what to expect. You get a patty made of rice, which is fried, and topped with their spicy tuna mix and some sauce. It was a pleasant surprise, good flavor, with a style of cuisine I had never imagined possible. Regardless, I am craving it again as I lay in bed writing this.

My husband and I love going to Tokyo Sushi with friends! You cannot beat the all you can eat lunch special. High quality and the staff is always nice. My husband has a good allergy and they do a great job of keeping his food separate and he’s never had an issue.

This is seriously one of the best spots to eat downtown. Top tier sushi, fantastic and varied appetizers, pleasant staff and chill atmosphere. I eat here like almost every week now, cannot recommend more.

I know what you're thinking, sushi, in the middle of Nebraska?!? That was my thought also, but having come from Hawaii and Seattle this place easily completes with the quality and value of any place from more traditional sushi hot spots. The all you can eat lunch is a particularly great value.

Came on a late Sunday afternoon - not packed, but enough people to want to try it. The staff was friendly & attentive, food came out fast & was pretty good.. especially for the price. It's all inclusive, which is nice. The menu has an amazing variety & different rolls I've never seen like salmon skin & Hawaii - salmon, pineapple, & avocado. Stayed for a while to digest & get more, wasn't rushed. Presentation is simple yet appealing. Not the best sushi I've had, but definitely not the worst - for $19 all you can eat, it's actually a little better than you'd hope to get. The seaweed salad is really good! If you're not into sushi, but don't want to be forced to stay home while your peeps come here who are into it (lol), the all-you-can-eat is also good for you as well - dumplings, short ribs, chicken teriyaki, soup, etc.. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

-Awful customer service. The employees seemed way more concerned with closing on time and getting food ordered then making sure their customers had a great experience. -I’m also visiting from out of state and the employees did a poor job of explaining the difference between the happy hour menu and their regular menu. -Don’t go to this place, there’s better sushi places out there. I’m not going here again.

We came in as a group in happy hours and got the regular prices. Turned out we had been order from the regular menu (Dinner Menu) WHICH already on the table and they never told us that they have separate menu for the happy hours. Bad customer service. Would not recommend this place.

As my first time going, I wasn’t really happy with the service. I wasn’t explained the menu, then they had a surcharge for food not eaten. Then took 15 minutes get 2 additional simple items. I have to say I only liked The shrimp Tempora ,udon noodle soup, and the chicken wings teriyaki. But won’t return, The only reason we ended up going there is because wheatfields with closing early and eat the worm was closed for some strange reason. I really should have stuck with hiro or blue .

This is the second time coming here. Great service, even though they were almost completely full. Not sure about some of the negative reviews...who goes to a sushi place when they don't eat rice? I recommend these guys. Oh! Get the beef udon.

Best Sushi and Japanese Eatery in town. The weekday specials are by far the best and more affordable in town. Weekends are friendly and moderately priced as well. The food and service even when busy is by far the best.

We eat here now and then and have always liked their food. Unfortunately, today we were very disappointed. As my son and I were eating, a large COCKROACH came climbing down the back of his seat! We told the waitress and she apologized. It wasn't the waitesses fault though! The manager was aware of the incident but never said a thing to us. Just FYI, the booth we were seated in was near the kitchen. I guess that tells you something! I don't like to give negative feedback but if posting this will cause them to take action, then it's well worth it. My son had stomach issues also after about an hour of eating there. Too bad, we really did like this place. By the way, after we saw the bug and left our booth, they seated someone right behind it.

The food is AMAZING! The yakitori, tempura yams, and terrikayi chicken are my favorites! The staff is very welcoming, always prompt to get your orders and bring your food and get your refills. I am glad my aunt had introduced me to this place. It's definitely worth the money.

-Decent sushi. -Customer service is not very good. Like, at all. -The bathroom was really hot, stuffy and dirty. -A good place to go if you want to consume 1,000 calories of something and don't particularly care how it tastes, but only during lunch. I would be pissed if I paid $22 for that.

Great price, especially if you have a large group, or first timers. Easy to order a lot of different rolls with different ingredients. Also if someone isn't a raw fish person there are plenty of cooked appetizers to have as well.
John Le
Good food and affordable price, if you love sushi and don't to break your bank, this is a place to go.

Some of the best sushi, nigiri and udon noodle soup I have had anywhere. Loved it!
Johsua Mc Carville

The Super Dynamite Roll is to die for. The staff is polite and food is always out quickly. I usually end my meal with the complimentary red bean ice cream.

Great food but terrible service. Very rude staff. While dining, I looked up the reviews on Google and they all matched what I/we felt about the place. Although the food is great, it's still not enough reason to have us return due to the terribly bad customer service.
