Not a massive menu, but a lot of interesting and unique combinations and flavors in the selection of choices. Nice bar and grill feel to the place. Service was good, as the waitress was attentive and helpful in suggestions. Bathroom that I used was clean. Food was was cooked well, and brought out with a good temperature. Over all a pretty decent experience. I had never been here before and my buddy had only been there once years ago. I would certainly be willing to try it again. I don’t recall what my friend ordered, but I had the Raspberry Beret, which is a burger with candied bacon, jerk-ginger peanut butter, Romain, raspberry-jalapeño jelly, red onion (I left the onion off), on a toasted brioche bun. Very interesting mix, but was quite good.

Leadbelly is always a go to. The cowabunga on a chicken breast is my personal favorite. The chips and queso are delicious but it’s always hard to decide between them and the fries. Drinks are great, people are nice. Overall one of my favorite places in Omaha!

Initial visit
We asked the server for her recommendations.
With that information we ordered 3 items to try. I gave our server the opportunity to order for us.
One lunch special (we chose 1/2 order Mac and Cheese) $9.99
You can definitely taste the beer in the soup. It was full bodied bursting with flavor. The Mac and Cheese in comparison was dull. I did try the queso sauce after I packed it up and the sauce did taste very good, but if you pair it with the beer soup, the Mac and Cheese will appear very bland. The sauce for it gets lost a bit when mixed with the pasta.
Raspberry beret burger with mashed potatoes and gravy $10.49.
This one intrigued me with its peanut butter and raspberry jelly sauce.
I saw this plate and was a bit disappointed as I asked the server for great presentation. I had a Burger similar to this at another restaurant and was disappointed there. I wondered how this would do. The difference is they have a peanut butter and jelly sauce as opposed to just a berry gastrique. The flavors melded very well and I did enjoy it. As to the mashed potatoes, the mushroom gravy is necessary for them as it brings it from ok to yummy.
Full Leaded jacket burger $12.49
I was unsure how this would taste. My friend ordered it with a veggie Pattie. We were unsure how it would taste with... We did find that it paired well with the veggie patty, much better than we expected. It is a very nice large portion.
The food arrived warm but not piping hot.
Leadbelly's interior is sleek with large windows allowing for lot of sunlight to fill the room. Service was very friendly in the beginning but I did feel she was getting mildly annoyed/impatient with all the questions I was asking.
Would like to return to see their other menu items. I didn't have a wow item that I felt I had to go back for yet.
Of note: they use paper straws here.
They are located in Midtown, parking is available by the meter just outside the door or there is a parking you can pay to park in. they used to have something where if you bought something in the area you could get it validated, but I did not check with this restaurant to see if that was still happening as we parked at a meter.

Great place! Went there to eat for my birthday. Their burgers are phenomenal, and the prices are great, so your basically getting gourmet food at a reasonable price. Their margarita and queso also delicious! Service was great and staff friendly. Will be back.

We absolutely love this place, they’ve never disappointed. Anytime guests are in town, this is our go-to, and everyone is a fan.
We haven’t been eating out much with COVID, but since they have the patio option and all of their staff are wearing masks, we felt safer about it. Although their menu was limited, they still had plenty to offer. The food is a dollar or two higher than one might expect, but the portions are big and everything we’ve ever eaten here is delicious. We also took advantage of their happy hour that went until 6 PM. Claneta was a fabulous server and the food came out within minutes of ordering.
Finally, what prompted me to leave a review after eating here more times than I can count, is seeing their welcoming, inclusive sign in their lobby today. With so much hate and division in this world, I am proud that this business can take a stand for what is right. Unity. Humanity. Progress.
Thank you for being a leader for change in our community!

Styling place. Wide range of customers friday afternoon. After work socializes, families, couples old and young. Prices are a little higher but you get what you pay for. The portions were large and flavorful. My family liked it a lot. I will be back with my co-workers for some original brews.

Raspberry Beret burger was wonderful! Great atmosphere & service along with getting a great surprise at how unusual their menu was made it a great random stop for us traveling through town. We also ordered the Royal Mountie with chicken. They were both great!

This place was kind of busy. They have great alcoholic selection. It smelled wonderful. I got a personal pizza called the razzle dazzle. It had grilled chicken, green peppers, lots of bacon! And a raspberry jam. Which probably sounds like a weird combo.. but OMG!! It was the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had! This place is a must try!! My husband had the Mac and cheese with siracha and my son had a burger. Everything was amazing. The staff was great and on it! This is one of our favorites.

This is an awesome restaurant with fantastic decor right in the middle of midtown Omaha. The menu features a wide selection of burgers, mac and cheese, and other food. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful - I felt very well treated when I ate here. There is a bar in the restaurant which features a happy hour from 3-6 Monday-Friday and 11-5 on Sunday. I definitely plan on coming back sometime.

Leadbelly offers great food in a casual environment. Much of the reclaimed wood throughout the restaurant came from houses that were deconstructed when Blackstone was expanding. The bar is the base of an old rail car. Try the Philly Egg-rolls!

If you like weird burger combinations, and good portion sizes at a good price I would recommend this, but LeadBelly was just ok. I would technically give this a 3 1/2 but their great customer service when I sent back my first burger makes up for the food being good, but not mind blowing
Things I Liked:
1) The Hawaiian Poullet, basically waffle fries with a layer of red peppers, onions, cheese, shredded pork and pineapple. This was actually really good. There fries were crispy, and it was good portion size.
2) drink specials during happy hour. I order a mojito that was really good and only $5, the only thing I didn’t like was how minced the mint was. Fun fact: ask for light ice and non minced mint if you order the mojito
3) a fairly diverse menu at a good price point, especially considering portion size.
4) customer service was solid.
Things I didn’t like:
1) the cinnamon roll burger bun with chili and salsa on it. It was disgusting! I am a very adventurous eater but this just didn’t do it for me. I ended up switching this out for just a regular California chicken sandwich. ( see picture below)
Overall I would recommend this. It’s got a wide variety of sandwich options and good prices.

We’ve been to Leadbelly over 30 times. We love it! We’ve never been disappointed with any of the different entrees we’ve tried. Our favorites are the Raspberry Beret Leadbelly and the Bangers and Mash. We also recommend the Queso. We recently switch to the Keto diet and found their menu very accommodating! Pictured below is the Curry Leadbelly minus the bun plus another meat patty with a side of coleslaw. It was delicious!

This place was a great quick stop on the way to the airport. My husband got the Haymarket, picture. It was delicious but spicy. Too much for me but perfect for him. He also got the mashed potatoes and gravy. That too was fantastic. I got soup and salad. Soup was Tuscan Chicken. Very good and reminded me of good Italian soup. Salad dressing was good. All dressing is made in house. We will stop there again next time we are flying out of Omaha
