Took my wife here today for a date and I can say it was well worth it. I ordered the Western omelette and my wife ordered the chicken & waffles. Everything was good, cooked very well, portions were good size. The environment/atmosphere was very nice and laid back. Our waitress was pleasant and very kind. She made sure we were very well taken care of. I would definitely go again and recommend.

Stopped here with the family on our way out to Denver. This will definitely become our go to stop anytime we are traveling through Omaha. There were too many amazing looking things on the menu, so I just got the special which was hot roast beef, dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. It was very very delicious. My wife loved the chicken tenders and my daughter slammed a pancake. Thanks to all at Shirley’s Diner for making us feel at home. Big shout out to our server Tammy, hope to see you on our way back.

Mostly everyone is great that works and eats here. But, this restaurant is a magnet for rude and unreasonable customers. People who take up tables for hours. People who order items made perfectly but not the way they had imagined in their minds so they cause a scene and try to get other food or free food. People who have no idea how to be patient and respectful. People who try and reinvent the menu to their liking. People who were just looking to be rude to someone that day. People who do disgusting things at the table and in the restrooms. And people who like to make the servers cry for fun. If you find a server to be somewhat cold or standoffish, give them a smile and be nice. They go through heck everyday. They'll open up if they think you are not going to give them a hard time for no reason.

I had the eggs Benedict, and they were fantastic. You can definitely tell all their food is made fresh and from scratch.

Kick started hubby's birthday weekend off trying a new place and ended up at Shirley's. Watched a lot of delicious looking food come from the kitchen to the diners while waiting for a seat. We were so excited that when we finally for our food, it was as good as it all looked. Our server was not very friendly and was very impatient coming over several times in the first couple of minutes... even after explaining, we have never been there before.

I tried Shirley’s diner for the first time, and it was an interesting experience!
The hot Turkey with mashed potatoes was decent, but the sweet gravy wasn't my favorite.
Overall, I'd be open to going back and trying some new items on the menu.

When all you want is some good down home comfort food, there’s no place else to go besides Shirley’s. We love most of the items on their menu and the chicken fried chicken dinner is just like mom’s ❤️👍🏻

I really enjoyed my visit. Food was fabulous and service was wonderful! We had hot beef sandwich and the club both were great and generous portioned!
