Got take out tonight. Dine in is not an option due to Covid. They have about 4’ of entry space available and the rest is cut off with chairs (so look elsewhere if you want dine in - Aug 21). They will deliver to your car so that is excellent. I had the chicken teriyaki. It had big chunks of onions, broccoli, and mushrooms with it. All are covered in teriyaki sauce. It was okay. Very sweet. The Huramaki (Japanese spring rolls) were okay too. Enjoyed my meal but wasn’t the “OMG this is so good” that gets a place that 5th star. Solid 4 stars though.
Delicious and inventive sushi. The most beautiful presentation for chirashi in the area! Also the AVOCADO BOMB is a must. We never come in or order out without at least two avo bombs!
Also Jay + Jenny are the sweetest and always treat us as family each time we dine in. LOVE Hoshitori!
I found a local gem. Per my friend's recommendation, I finally visited this restaurant and realized I should have tried this place much earlier. I had sushi omakase and was surprised with the quality of the sushi. I work in the city and am a regular to those high end Japanese restaurants, and what I had at Hoshitori was very comparable (or even better) to those popular pricey places in the city, run by famous chefs. If you want "quality" sushi, this is definitely one of the restaurants you want to keep in your favorite list.
Amazing sushi! Fresh and top notch quality. Best omakase in NJ! I enjoy eating sushi at least once a week. Chef Yang overwhelmed my taste buds with the freshest and finest ingredients. Much appreciation. My only regret.. I didn't take all the pictures... posting some of the great sushis.

Friendly Japanese restaurant with great taste :) The price was reasonable too. The owner pursue new receipts and it works really well
Every time I work in this area I would always have some good sushi and rolls here! So delicious!!!
Great neighborhood spot for what it is! Ordered sushi deluxe, avocado bomb, and bunch of rolls, eel avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, chicken teriyaki roll, shrimp tempura roll. Everything was rly good! For me personally it was too much sauce on top, I’ll just have to ask them for less sauce or just on the side!
They have a good takeout system. Easy to order online. Friendly staff too :)
