Josephs By The Sea

There were 9 of us there for Birthday party. We were seated at a large table on a private deck overlooking the beach and ocean. It could have not been better as the sun set and moon rose. Dena was our dedicated server and was top notch. Generous drinks and great seafood and steaks were perfectly prepared and delicious. A good selection of deserts was provided. The check was comparable to fine dining in a metro area, but a bit pricy for Maine. A great experience overall.

This is one of the nicest places to have dinner at Old Orchard. We made a reservation for seven and had a great dinner. If you are going to go, definitely reserve a table on the roofdeck. They will not guarantee it so have a plan B if that doesn't work out. View was wonderful. The service was a bit slow due to the kitchen but our waitress was attentive, and polite. Drinks were on the pricey side and the food was good. Plan for about an hour and a half; longer if you are with a big group. The experience is better when you can see the water too. Once it gets dark you loose part of the ambiance. Photos show the view, our drinks(draft beer and a Painkiller). We had the swordfish and the filet mignon. And a picture of the menu (July 2020). We will repeat next year when we vacation there again.

I understand that this world is a little crazy but I would have thought that a highly recommended restaurant would be a bit better prepared for a wedding party of 18 ppl! One waitress for all that was not enough and the food was not good! Undercooked and cold! This was supposed to be my daughter's happiest night and the staff was not prepared! Thumbs down from Farmington NH!
