Love, love this place! I always have to get my Thai Tea fix and this is my go to place. The food, the place, the people are all fantastic! My favorite is the Thai rice extra spicy and lately I've been also loving the shrimp lemon grass soup. You MUST try all!!
This place is awesome, the food is great the people are friendly and provide great service.
Not bad at all. Sampler for two is really great
Currys really good. Good salads. Pretty much it....now i have to type filler bs because of the 140 min. Which is dumb.
I really like this place. I normally visit this place during lunch time when I visit our other office. The owner lady herself present there like any other local Thai place. That helps to know what customers are expecting.
I tried veg basil fri d rice, noodles and all veg curries. Everything was excellent. They have dedicated Menu for vegetarians so you don't have to worry about what you are having. I especially like the Massamam curry. Green curry is also nice. I must say if you crave for spicy and hot food this is the place.
This place has the best Pad Thai I've had in a while. Ever since my favorite Thai place closed a while back I've been looking for a place to get my Thai food fix. This place did not feed me the best Pad Thai I've ever had. But they do know how to balance the flavors so that the dish is both spicy and flavorful. Many places simply don't know how to make it so that it is spicy enough to offset the sweet notes, or they simply make it hot with nothing much else going on. That's not true here.
My wife had the Pad Kee Mao. She pronounced it tasty, but next time she'll order it hotter. We also had the curry puffs. These were very much like mini samosas in a spring roll skin. They were very nice dipped in the included sauce, but a bit too sweet without.
Over all, the food here is good enough that I'll be going back.
Staying near the convention center for a conference but lamenting the preponderance of chains and mediocre fare that surrounds the center and caters to tourists. Glad we made the small trek south of downtown to Thai Noodle.
We had fresh spring rolls which were comparable to others we've had before but the sauce was outstanding with a good kick. One of us is strictly gluten free and the server was very kind and accommodating, bringing a separate sauce that was also delicious.
One of us had the green curry w shrimp, the other had the Panang curry w chicken. They were both excellent.
The restaurant wasn't too cold and the background music was just that: Background (as it should be! IMO)
Overall very pleased w Thai a Noodle. So glad we spent our money at a local place and a local family. Well worth improving their net worth as opposed to a corporate CEO and stockholders.
Much better place with the new owners. Food tastes much better and the staff are attentive. Been coming here for a while before and after the current owners. Must say, it's been great thus far! It's not in my neighborhood but worth the trek!
Wow! Get the red curry!!! Might be the best thing I've ever eaten, definitely the best Asian style cuisine. I got it with pork and a heat level 3, which was fairly spicy. Nice folks too. I recommend this place highly.
Really good. Went there about a week ago and got chicken Pad si ew. Yum. Went to simply Thai tonight, ordered same thing and it is not nearly as good. It's Thai noodles from now on!
Family run. In town for medical reasons and were looking for a non chain restaurant. Found this hidden gem after googling restaurants nearby. When we arrived we almost didn't go in. Nothing to look at from the outside, but didn't know where else to go. The restaurant is somewhat dated and plain, but that's all right. It was a standard thai menu. Sounds like we didn't like it....Wrong. We loved it. The server was the owner. He was very helpful, pleasant and very attentive. The food was presented nicely and liked it better than any other thai restaurant we have been to. Conclusion....don't judge the book by the cover. SERVICE AND FOOD WAS WONDERFUL and that's what counts.
Thai Noodles (formerly Thai Smile 5) is a good place. Owner Jessie is always very friendly. The good and service is good. I recommend going on a weeknight when they're not so busy. If you like sweet Thai, I recommend the pineapple curry. For something less sweet, the massamann curry is an excellent choice. One downside is that the food can be a bit salty. We had to send one dish back, but Jessie was understanding. The Thom Kha Gai is excellent.
Amazing!. I went to Thai Smile 5 this weekend with some friends because I haven't been there in several years. I moved out of the Louisville area in 2006 and have really missed this place. My thoughts were that it would not be the same as before. Seems to be a trend with new places, they start off great and after a year they start cutting quality and service.
I was pleasantly surprised that the food was above local standards and I haven't experienced that type of great service even in higher end places in years! By far one of the best places to eat in Louisville! The food and the staff are both amazing!
I was lucky enough to get my order in before they closed and it was worth everything as always. Best Pad Thai in town. Savory, sweet, spicy (if wanted), perfect level of sour. Best combination of flavors I’ve had in a long time and plenty in the serving you pay for. Thanks Thai Noodles!
Green curry is possibly my all time favorite dish and Thai Noodles is my favorite place to get it. Suffice to say, this is incredible and I can't recommend it enough.
A GEM!! I can’t believe I haven’t been here for lunch before! Fast, and friendly service and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to try more
My boyfriend and I have ordered dinner from here a few times. It’s is by far the best Thai food we have had. My boyfriend is a professional chef and raves about how great the flavors are every time we order.
Very tasty. Had a few different things on their menu than other Thai places, plus all the staples. We would definitely go again if we are on that side of town
Food was delicious, I found it a bit pricey. I spent $63 for 2 people, it said serves 4, but not really. It was worth it. Will def be back again my husband loved it.
