Steak & Eggs

Left Tulsa on an empty stomach and wasn't looking forward to any fast food but then I saw this establishment. A quick turnaround and in I walked. The building feels very rustic and Midwestern because it is rustic and Midwestern. Very friendly people, welcoming and warm smiled. Got seated right away and out came the fresh coffee, water, and tea. I ordered the t-bone steak and eggs along with one single pancake (no judgement). The food was great but the service and overall feel was what made stopping in well worth it. Not sure when I'll be back through here but I do, definitely stopping back in.

First and last time in this place. First thing is the smell, this place smells moldy and dirty like an old bar restroom. I ordered a Belgian waffle with strawberry’s and blueberry what I got was canned fruit in a jelly. I heard another customer ask about the waffles and an employee told him “they are not made in house, they come in on a truck”. To drink I had water and lemon which even tasted funky. My Aunt had an omelette which she said was really good and it did look good. However the smell was off putting enough for me. Won’t be back.

This is not the first time I have committed on this establishment but it will be the last. I will not be returning. I will make every effort not to return. The food was a bit more improved. At least the eggs were still warm. The biscuits were somewhat improved. They weren't flaky but they were a decent consistency that did not require a gallon of water to wash down. The situations that made my mind up to give this place a zero return policy are several matters that could be addressed an fixed simply. But as for the owners caring about this is another matter. Let's get started. The wait staff. This is awful 😞 really awful. Our waitress that morning must of left her ability to concentrate at home. I asked for creamer , I was given half an half. I asked if there was flavored creamer an I suppose this establishment hasn't gotten past the era of half an half. I was told no. Our coffee cups were never kept filled. We constantly had to ask for refills. Then when they did bring the coffee ☕ we only were given a half of a cup lol I suppose they were telling us we needed to cut back. The wait staff needs serious overhaul. The owners or whoever runs this establishment needs to take a bit of the money an bring this place back into today. When you walk in the oldness for say is nearly enough to push someone out the door an down highway 75 . People in this town might enjoy the old moldy , dusty smell an look. But from a newcomers input, the inside needs remodeling an staff needs overhauled. So if your coming through Okmulgee don't stop here drive on in to Tulsa or Henryetta.
