Gem of a place. Great food and service. Has a homey feel. Food is fresh and so well flavored.
Do I love it?. YES. Roasted veggies were perfection to my taste buds. I had the chef surprise me with a dressing for the sandwich....and the chipotle ranch was rich and creamy...ultimate sandy topper!
The Broccoli Cheddar Soup was overwhelming with super taste, but a little thinner than I prefer....but this won’t keep me from coming back.
I loved the quietness of the restaurant and the helpful wait staff.
I will be coming back for more and will spread the word!
Funky and Oh So Yummy!. Must share about the delicious, affordable, and heart healthy breakfast I had today! Beatnix Cafe at 13th and Robinson is a hole in the wall restaurant dressed up in bohemian flare! It is owned and operated by the sweetest lady and her staff is like family. I have yet to go and see someone having a bad day! This morning I stopped in for the Beatnix Bongo Bar! Beatnix Bongo Bar:
All natural, made in house with oatmeal, pecans, almonds, sesame seed, flax seed meal, bran, wheat germ, honey, molasses, unsweetened coconut, peanut butter, and cocoa (9g of protein)!! I paired is with an Americano coffee and got out of there for $5.00. I just enjoyed an incredibly delicious breakfast!! It was satisfying too!
The only down side to this restaurant - at lunch it is crowded so if you need a quiet place for conversation you won't get it. But if you are looking for a fun, funky, delicious lunch that is easy on the wallet...don't waste any time!
This is truly local at its best. I feel so welcome every time I come with tons of help on choosing new teas to try. The breakfast menue is simple and satisfying.
A Favorite!. I used to go here often with my youth group in my early teens because my church was just down the street. Now, about 5 years later, I have started coming back! I went with my friends about a month ago, and had a great experience. There was a little mix-up though. My friends and I ordered, sat down, and within a few minutes their food came, but mine did not, even though I ordered first. I went back to the counter and inquired about my food, and the girl at the register and the people in the back making the food were so apologetic and so nice and made my food right away because they'd missed my order. They even gave me a free coffee to make up for it! The coffee and the wrap I had were absolutely delicious. It's a cozy, friendly place and my friends and I plan on making it a regular of ours!

Cute ambiance, good food and coffee. Ah, The Beatnix. I remember when it first opened and it was all the rage for a hot minute with the hipsters and hippies. Nowadays it seems The Beatnix is merely a cozy little lunch spot or morning coffee spot. The owner has always been very, very nice and always appeared to be passionate about his job. That is what I like to see! I hope Beatnix stays open for years to come!
Quiet, relaxing lunch. Had an excellent lunch here today. It was after the lunch crowd, so it was pretty quiet. I had the T-Bird sandwich, some chips and the green tea. All were very good. The price was right considering the quality. The staff is very friendly. This will certainly be a regular spot for me.
